It has been a just over a month since we last had to deal with Mood's sister and some reason things were almost too calm. I never did find out what exactly she was investigating, but I was busy trying to avoid her because she would use her powers on anyone whenever she got the chance.
Most of the time she was here I stayed in my room and bonded with Mozart when I didn't have training or interviews to go to. When ever I wasnt in my room I seemed to be a constant target for Golem.
"Hey lizard girl." Golem said as he shoved me into the wall. "Go convince the goverment's pet to get Commissioner Fields to pass your leadership over to me."
"Excuse me?"
"What do you have an issue with me being a leader?" He growled at me.
"If you were fit to be the leader you would have been made the leader." I forced his hands off of me. "But I wasn't talking about that."
"Oh yeah?" He said as he grabbed a hold of my arm.
I quickly reversed our positions and slammed him into the wall.
"If I hear you call us anything other than our names you will have issues bigger than wanting to be the leader."
I guess I had caught him off guard because he didn't move until I stepped away from him. I honestly caught myself off guard as well.
He turned around and if could he probably would have beaten me to a pulp instead he just glared at me.
"I suggest you walk away." I warned him with all the courage I could muster.
Suddenly his demeanor completely changed. He changed from threatening and angry to acting like he was my friend.
"Shining I was just messing with you." He laughed as he punched my shoulder. "Dont take it so seriously. I dont mind following your steps."
He causally walked away as Mood and Claire walked over to me.
"What was that about?" Claire asked with a confused look.
"He is on my team tonight." I said.
I honestly was still confused by how quickly he changed how he was acting.
"Shining." Mood spoke softly. "After you get back tonight can you let me know? I need to talk to you about something."
She spoke like it was something that was only supposed to be between us.
"Yeah." I smiled as I spoke.
It wasn't long before we all split off into our groups and my team left with Captain Whirlwind. The night went by quickly as we patrolled our quadrant of the city.
"Hey kiddos. Our relief is here so pack up and head back to the school." Captain Whirlwind said before turning to face the mystery hero that came to relieve us.
"Let's get going before he changes his mind." Spark smiled before stretching their arms into the sky.
"I could use a nap." The quiet girl mumbled.
I still haven't learned her name because she wont talk to me. All I know is her powers have something to do with worms.
"Come on guys dont be such babies. Literally we have all night to get back to the dorms why don't we have some fun first?" Golem suddenly put an arm around me. "You agree with me, dont you Shining?"
"First off my name is Shining Dragon. Second I'm actually tired myself." I said forcing him to move his arm.
"Oh no need to be so grumpy." He said in a mocking tone. "We're all friends here right?"
