"Thank you for letting me know about this possiblity." I said while messing with the security lanyard I was wearing. "Even though wasn't planning in working to watch your show."

"I dont know what you were talking about you volunteered." She said with a smirk.

I laughed and shook my head. I don't know how she managed it but she did.

She began to drink her cup of tea before she started coughing.

"Mood?" I quickly ran to her side and took the tea from her.

She began to hiccup in between coughing. She quickly turned around and filled up a glass of water from the sink and began to chug it.

"It's spicy..." She eventually muttered out.

Spicy?

I quickly went over to a fridge close to her changing room. I found a bottle of milk and took it back to her.

"This might help."

She quickly drank the milk but her voice sounded rough as she thanked me.

"Are you going to be able to sing?" I checked the time. "Your show starts in thirty minutes."

"I cant cancel the show." She said softly before coughing again.

I sniffed the tea and it didnt smell hot but when I ripped open the tea bag it looked like someone had cut up some sort of pepper and planted this before she made the tea.

"I think someone didn't want you singing tonight."

"Yeah that's not an option." She croaked out.

"But you cant sing with your voice like this."

"Someone has to sing or I could get in trouble."

"Then what do we do?" I asked before locking eyes with her.

She looked at me like I should know what she was thinking. Then it dawned on me what she was saying.

"No." I quickly stepped back. "I cant. I can barely even sing when I'm drunk."

"You're a great singer and someone has to sing." Her voice didn't sound like it was getting any better.

She had to be joking right. There is no way I can sing enough to pass as her.

"But..."

"Just one song." She immediately cut me off.

"You're serious?"

She nodded her head.

"But..."

She raised an eyebrow beofre looking around.

"Fine." I sighed. "You're lucky I love you." I whispered.

Without any hesitation she drug me over to the makeup and began to decorate my face like she would her own. If she didn't look so excited doing the makeup I would have been huffy about it but she was probably the only exception.

"Change into this." She spoke in scruffy whisper while handing me a brightly colored outfit.

"I hope you know you owe me for this." I groaned as I quickly discarded the shirt I had been wearing. "You owe me big."

Before I knew it I was telling the sound guy the song I was going sing while dressed as Mood. I didn't have much time to think of what to sing so I chose one that made me think of her.

"Are you sure that's an old song..."

I looked at him and raised an eyebrow.

"Ok fine."

I walked onto the stage just as the snaps indicating the speed of the song started.

"She keeps her Moet et Chandon in her pretty cabinet. 'Let them eat cake', she says just like Marie Antoinette. A built-in remedy for Khrushchev and Kennedy. At anytime an invitation tou can't decline."

The crowd  was roaring with excitement and began to grow quiet to listen.

"Caviar and cigarettes
Well versed in etiquette
Extraordinarily nice she's a Killer Queen. Gunpowder, gelatine, dynamite with a laser beam, Guaranteed to blow your mind anytime." I finally began to feel comfortable enough to get into the music. "Recommended at the price insatiable an appetite. Wanna try?"

I noticed something in the rafters but shook it off as a stage hand adjusting a light or something.

"To avoid complications she never kept the same address. In conversation she spoke just like a baroness. Met a man from China went down to Geisha Minor
Then again incidentally if you're that way inclined." I glanced over an saw Mood smiling from being the curtain. "Perfume came naturally from Paris naturally. For cars she couldn't care less. Fastidious and precise, she's a Killer Queen. Gunpowder, gelatine, dynamite with a laser beam. Guaranteed to blow your mind anytime."

As the guitar solo started a man jumped from the rafters and growled. "You just don't know when to quit."

He swung at me as his hand formed into a blade of sorts.

I easily dodged the blade. I glanced at the crowd and they cheered like this was part of the show.

Do I keep singing? That's what Mood would do right? I didn't want the higher ups to be upset at mood so I decided to attempt singing and fighting at the same time.

"Drop of a hat she's as willing as playful as a pussy cat. Then momentarily out of action, temporarily out of gas, to absolutely drive you wild, wild
She's all out to get you."

I dodged another attack and caught myself before I threw fire at the man.

"She's a Killer Queen. Gunpowder, gelatine, dynamite with a laser beam. Guaranteed to blow your mind anytime."

This time when the man swung I manged to grab his arm at his wrist as I dodged and slide behind him to force him to the ground with his arm behind his back.

Thank fully the crowds cheers were too loud for them to notice that I was too caught up what I did to sing the last verse of the song.

"Try it and I will burn though your wrist." I warned the man as he started to form his other hand into a blade.

Both the man and I froze at my statement. I didn't intend for the threat to come out sounding so violent.

"Firefly I'm sending other heroes on stage, get off stage when they get to you." I heard Mood in the ear peice I was given to keep time.

Her voice sounded a bit better than when I left her.
