After what felt like hours of trying to memorize everyone and their abilities the timer started for the challenge I had to do with Golem.
I groaned and started to head down the hallway. Everyone around me also headed towards the training room. I scanned the crowd to find Golem but I couldn't find him.
"Are you ok?" Melidic mood asked.
I about jumped out of my skin after she came out of no where again.
"My face and back still hurt after Steel. I'm just wondering how much more I'm gonna hurt after Golem." I ran my hand through my hair.
That's when I spotted Golem a few feet a head of me. I had a hard time spotting him because he now had an orange shirt on instead of yellow.
"He changed..."
"He attacked another recruit." She smiled as if she had done something.
"Is it because of last night?"
I was mostly concerned I'd also be getting in trouble later on because of the situation.
"All the stories lined up, except for his. So verdict was he attacked you."
I just nodded my head before entering the training room where Golem was already waiting for me.
Melodic mood went over to the side of the room where the instructor was standing.
"Let's get this over with I guess." I mumbled before taking a deep breath.
Claire jumped on my back and scared me.
"You've got this El." She whispered in my ear before jumping off and joining the others.
As soon as I walked over to Golem I could see the disturbing smile he was wearing.
"Do I need to repeat the rules to either of you?" The instructor asked sounding slightly irritated.
"No sir." We both stated before the barrier began to rise.
While the barrier was rising he started to walk closer to me.
"You should learn to mind your own business." He growled and lunged at me.
He grabbed a hold of the collar of my shirt. I watched as stone began to form in place of his skin and spread over the rest of his skin.
He raised his fist to punch me, so I grabbed his forearm with both hands and used him to stabilize myself as I jumped and kicked him in the stomach.
He stumbled backwards as I fell to the ground.
He didnt take much time to collect himself before he grabbed me hy my hair and hit my head against the ground.
Instantly my ears started ringing as blood dripped onto the ground below me. I started to push myself up when a foot pressed firmly against my back.
"This is probably the fastest match I'm gonna have for a while." He moved his foot and kneeled next to me. "That is if you tap out."
I refused to respond to him and it made him angrier for some reason.
"Cant say I didn't warn you."
I began to stand up when he pushed me with his foot. With my ears ringing it must have thrown off my balance even more than normal.
"You just had to go suck up to someone did you?" He growled.
He pinned me with my face pressed against the floor. I realized this had to be more than him being angry at me.
"I guess that only natural since your parents dont love you." He barely spoke above a whisper in my ear.
Up until his most recent words hit my ears I had been trying to push against the floor to knock him off while failing.
I could hear a muffled shouting outside the barrier now but I couldn't make out what anyone was yelling.
"I dont believe you." I groaned out as I felt my hands start to warm up.
Slowly he began to become heavier. At first I thought it was because he was adding more of his weight.
"If they loved you they wouldn't have sent you to live here and leave town without you knowing." I could hear him smiling with every word as if he were gloating.
I was fighting hard to control my emotions as the tears stung my eyes.
"Who could love something like you?" That was just what I needed to push me over the edge and officially get angry.
Flames flowed from my hands as they began to generate enough heat to actually force Golem to jump away from me. I quickly stood up and found he was made of some sort of metal.
"Oh did I hurt your little feelings?" He asked in a teasing tone.
He only stood a few feet away from me, but I could see sweat forming on his face as the sleeves of my undershirt caught fire and smoke began to fill the small space.
He slowly stepped backwards as he turned back to his normal form. He began mouthing something but the ringing in my ears only got louder blocking out my hearing.
"The match is over!" Someone yelled loud enough for me to hear.
A few other recruits in the room looked scared so I quickly extinguished the fire. The ringing in my ears slightly lightened as I calmed down a bit.
"Melodic mood take Shining dragon to her dorm to calm down." The instructor ordered.
"Sir, she need to go to medical for her head injury." Melodic mood stated calmly.
"I didn't ask what she needs. I gave you an order to protect both medical staff and other recruits." His voice grew louder with every word.
"Mood, Im fine." I mumbled to her. "Let's just go."
To be honest my ears were ringing and it was giving me a killer headache, but I knew if I stayed any longer I would end up crying like I want to.
She looked at me like she didnt believe me, but I just wanted to leave. She sighed and nodded her head before guiding me out of the room.
"We should take you to medical. He probably cracked a few ribs or caused a concussion." She started lecturing me.
"I'm fine. I just need some space right now." I mumblez.
I began to focus on my breathing as we walked in silence to my dorm.
"If you aren't going to let me take you to medical atleast let me put a bandage on the wound." She said breaking the silence as we got to my room.
"I think I can handle it." I asked while opening the door. "Besides I think I should take a shower first."
She nodded her head and stepped back.
"There should be a medkit in the bottom drawer of your desk." She stated before I closed my door.
I pulled out my phone and immediately saw a text from Claire labeled with her hero name.
'Are you ok?'
'Is what he said true?' I immediately texted back before sitting at the desk.
She didn't respond so I opened the wardrobe and began to find a new shirt to wear.
After a few minutes I texted her again. 'If you cant answer me can you atleast help me find out.'
'You have a watch dog right now.'
'She not a watch dog.'
'Fine, I'll find a way to get her to leave. Just be dressed for rain.'
