"Can we go somewhere more private?" I whispered go Mood while glancing over at Claire and Steel.
I had a few questions that I wasnt sure if she knew the answers or not.
"We cant really go anywhere." She slowly sat up. "The base is on lock down and every villain is looking for us right now because we broke into their base to save you."
I silently pointed upwards at the cat walk.
"Is that safe?"
"Mostly, I use to go up there all the time." I said while carefully standing up and walking towards the ladder.
I cautiously, but quickly scaled the ladder and walked to the more secured area of it. I turned around to find Mood had actually followed me.
"Mood, I..."
"You dont have to apologize for anything." Mood quickly cut me off.
She knew exactly what I was going to say which surprised me a little.
"We thought things had calmed and everyone let their guard down. I let my guard down more than I should have."I sat down and dangled my legs over the edge and Mood cautiously sat down next to me, but she sat cross legged away from the edge like she didnt trust it.
I suddenly my stomach growled and realized I had no idea when my last meal was. While I was locked away there was nothing there to tell me how long I was gone.
"How long was I gone?"
"Just over two weeks." She sighed.
"Has anyone been taking care of Mozart?" I asked slightly paniced about the kitten.
Mood softly laughed at my concern for the kitten over myself.
"He is fine." She smiled. "I've been taking care of him."
My stomach growled again causing Mood to laugh even more when I got embarrassed by how loud it was.
"Hey do you two think you can go for a food run?" Mood yelled down to Claire and Steel.
"Ok!" Claire yelled enthusiastically.
They didn't hesitate to hop into the car and head out for food. When they left they took the main source of light with them to where you could tell the moon was shining bright outside.
"Thanks." I sighed and moved to lay down with my head on her leg.
"You said you wanted to talk privately." She said while leaning back to look at small beams of light shining through the dirt covered skylight.
She looked like she was soaking in the moment and she looked comfortable. I didn't want to take that away right now.
"Well I was going to tell you after we talked, before all of this." I carefully sat back up and angled myself so I was facing her. "I found a really good apartment."
"Oh..." She muttered as she turned her complete attention to me.
"I'm already sent in my down payment to secure it, but as soon as I'm cleared I was planning on moving in."
I looked her in the eye as I tried to figure out what she was thinking. The only thing I could read was she seemed slightly conflicted about it.
I may have just ruined the moment in a different way.
"Mood I want you to have a key."
"If you're asking me to move in you know I can't." She looked a little distraught now.
