*POV is still Melodic mood*

I watched as she scrolled through various pictures.

Most of the pictures were of a couple heroes, but a few of them were of a villain.

"Do you know who they are?" Shining asked while she seemed to be trying to find anything from these images.

"Yes."

"Ok so I recognized Winter's Angel, but who are these other three people?"

"Ok so this," I pointed at a woman dressed in gold and dark grey. "She is The Shielded Wonder. She was a defensive hero. She was also  the first hero to retire before turning thirty."

I changed the picture to a man dressed in red and silver.

"He was The Prince of Summer, but later became Flame Demon." I changed the picture to the man wearing maroon and black. "He was one of the first heroes that became a villain. Atleast one of the first recorded ones."

The next thing she scrolled upon was a few articles detailing exactly what I had just explained to her and a bit more about things they did.

"Ok, but why would Frostbite want me to have these?"

"I have no idea." I sighed and pulled out my phone to look up more information. "How do we know she isn't just trying to throw you off?"

"That wouldn't make sense though. She's gone as far as kidnapping me and locking me in a freezer, so why would she send me a flash drive full of pictures as a distraction?"

Ok so this is definitely going to be on her mind for a while.

"Obviously Frostbite knew Flame Demon." She said while pointing to a picture.

The picture was of the both of them and Frostbite was wearing one of the older recruit uniforms.

"I take it he had fire based powers too?" Shining asked softly.

"Yes, but his powers more so was the ability to control fire not generate it like you." I pulled up one of the pictures that had a better look at his outfit. "He had these special gloves that when he snapped they acted like a match."

"And do you know hers?"

"There isn't much on her since she left so early, but she was a defensive hero. She protected more than she faught."

Suddenly the screen went black before a message appeared again.

'Goodnight Elizabeth.'

"That's kinda creepy..." She mumbled as she unplugged the flash drive.

I glanced over at her clock and saw it was indeed getting late.

"This all has to be connected somehow right?" She mumbled to herself.

She has a point. It doesnt seen like Frostbite would just do this randomly.

"Tomorrow after we get everything done we can look more into this if you want." I suggested while she closed the laptop. "We will be able to get more information after the graduation ceremony."

She nodded her head like she agreed with the option I gave her.

"Do you want me to put your laptop back on it's charger?" I asked while holding my hand out to take it.

Instead of responding or choosing to hand it to me she just sat there staring at my hand.

"Is something wrong?" I glanced down because I thought the bandages might have unraveled a bit.

"Are you in trouble too?" She finally spoke up while still looking at my hands.

I glanced down at my hands again and placed them on my lap.

"No..."

"Then why didn't you get your hands taken care of?" She asked while carefully grabbing my hands.

"Because they wouldn't take care of you." I answered honestly because I had no reason to lie.

"That's stupid." She muttered. "You shouldn't put yourself through pain for me." She said before I could question her statement.

"They gave you a cruel punishment. One they would never give to anyone else." I sighed and moved closer to her. "So either they will drop your punishment or they deal with me taking it with you."

"But I'm not worth it." She spoke like she was confident about her statement.

Where did she even get that idea? She couldn't be more wrong about that.

"That's just not true."

I wasn't sure what she was currently thinking, but instead of responding she just sat there staring at my hands in hers.

"Elizabeth," Upon hearing her name she immediately looked me in the eyes. "You are worth so much more."

She looked like she was debating if what I said was true.

"I got these burns to make sure you made it back with me, but keeping them is only a small fraction of what I would do for you."

Abruptly she hugged me and buried her face into my neck.

"Please dont get yourself hurt for me again..." She mumbled.

"You know I can't make that promise any more than you can."
