Eventually she guided me to a cafeteria and I didnt have much of a choice for food, but it was all edible so I didn't care too much.

She sat down across from me facing the doorway while she ate. She seemed to be taking  keeping an eye on me very seriously.

"The food's a bit bland but it's good." I said trying to start a conversation.

"It is good." She smiled at me. "It looks like we got lucky. We got here before they closed up for the night."

"Thank..."

I got interrupted by sirens and a red flashing lights.

I looked at my bracelet a d saw it had the red flashing bell again.

"Where is your phone?" She asked me while holding out her hand.

I quickly handed it to her and she took out the battery

"We have to go now." She grabbed my wrist and pulled me out of the cafeteria.

I began to hear the sound of someone running and I guess Melodic mood did too because she pulled me into the closest door.

"Does this lead to the surface too?" I whispered as a broom poked me in the back.

"What?"

I couldn't see her facial expression in the dark and I'm sure it would just make me feel like I asked a stupid question.

"No this one is just a supply closet." She whispered while pulling out her phone.

"Why did you keep your phone?"

"Mine is government issued and I would have been notified if it had been compromised." She explained before putting it up. "Out of 4 secret bases in the city this one happens to be attacked by the same person who attacked you less than 24 hours ago. Your phone can be the only option as to how she found you."

"So I need a new phone, got it." I sighed.

She bumped her hand against mine. "Open your hand." I did as she said and I felt a small chip being placed into it. "I saved the SD card. If you were smart you saved your stuff to them."

"It's mostly just photos." I admitted.

"That's better than nothing." I would have expected her to say that in a condensing tone, but she actually sounded like she meant it.

I carefully slid the chip into my jacket pocket and slowly zipped it closed.

We could hear yelling and the sound of things crashing in the hall. The air began to grow cold as a woman's voice yelled out in irritation.

I noticed she was holding the doorknob while adding her weight to the door. I focused on my hand and made a small flame and saw a chair in the corner.

I grabbed the chair and moved it over to her while keeping the small flame in my other hand.  She quickly placed it so the door couldn't be opened easily. As she slightly moved I noticed that the doorknob was frozen and her fingertips were a bright red from holding to door.

"Give me your hand." I whispered as I held my hand out to her.

"It's..." She started to protest.

"I'm not asking." I stated as I grabbed her hand and looked at it. "You have a mild case of frostbite from holding the door."

I extinguish my small flame and covered her hand with both of mine. I could tell she didnt exactly seem comfortable with me doing this so after her hand was warmed up I let it go.

"If you dont take care of those things sooner they can get worse. I'd hate for you to lose a hand when I could help."

She opened her mouth to say something when her phone went off. She turned it on before she put it away again and moved the chair from the door.

"She is no longer on base." She said as she opened the door.

"Like she got away or arrested?" I asked as I wearily followed her.

She remained silent as lead me back to the room I woke up in.

"Do you know why she is after me of all people?" I asked after she opened the door to my room.

Immediately I entered the room and jumped onto the bed set up there.

"Not a clue. It might have to do with who you are under the mask if I were to guess."  She suggested while she followed me into the room.

"She said some things trying to get in my head before she attacked me." I looked at the wall as I tried my best to remember the entire fight. "She seemed to willing to fight, but too old for me to know her on a level of someone I've angered I think."

"I wont learn more until later on. It might not even be against you, but it could be a family member or a friend they are trying to hurt." She said while she inspected the room.
