"Hey Mood can I ask you something?" She glanced at me an raised an eyebrow. "Why do they keep changing the time periods for when I can do things?"

I only asked right now because everyone else is busy in some training course.

"What do you mean?" She asked before turning back to watch the group.

"Well like I was told I wouldn't be training with other recruits for five more days." I rotated how I was sitting and faced her.

I was going to ask her about the lock down too but I didn't know if I'd get in trouble for it.

"It might be because you are progressing more than they thought you would." She shrugged her shoulders. "You actually weren't even supposed to meet the few that live here yet either, but after the incident with Golem..."

"Sorry about that by the way." I did feel a little bad for how I acted towards him.

"Dont worry about it." She smiled again. "But after he forced a meeting it was decided for you to meet everyone living here."

"That's the director's call right?" I asked out of curiosity.

"Not necessarily." She dropped her smile. "While she is the highest ranking official on this base at the moment, she's only in charge of the hero courses normally. So her orders can only go so far."

"So what can..."

Melodic mood's phone rang and she nodded as she read the screen.

"I'm sorry, I keep forgetting you haven't been briefed yet." She stood up and straightened out her dress. "I'll try to fill you in later. Right now I have to go."

Before I could even say anything she left me sitting alone.

I sighed and watch the training course from the distance.

I would have sat up there with them but I was told to sit back here, because they were just doing a review on their sparing partners from before I showed up.

"So what can you tell me you learned today watching Shining Dragon?" My head perked up so fast.

"She cant fight!" One of them yelled.

I tightly gripped the end of my sleeve.

"No you actually had a major advantage in that fight." The instructor was leaning against the wall. "You have been trained how to fight for two years while she barely had two hours."

"She didn't use her powers." Claire stated.

"That!" The instructor yelled excitedly. "Who knows what her powers are?"

The room was dead silent. Claire could have answered but something tells me she was told not to.

Did none of them watch HRN?

"Anyone want to guess?"

There was a moment of silence as everyone stood the time to think.

"Does she shine?"

"Is she a shapeshifter? Dragon or reptile variant?"

There were a variety of different answers and some were close like breathing fire.

"Lightspeed, as someone who was saved by her, what are her powers."

"Pyrokinesis, control and generate fire." Claire stated in a very chipper tone.

"If you all had watched HRN at night like recommended you would have known that. Instead you all would rather do other things." He sighed and leaned against the wall.

The room remained silent before he began to walk around.

"I get that you guys only care about the news when you're featured, but you will learn a lot about heroes and even villains." He looked past the crowd and stared at me as if he were trying to tell me something. "Everyone head to lunch and meet back here for the next challenge."

Just as if she were a kid who had their first time in a candy shop Claire sped over to me and jumped excitedly.

She spoke extremely fast and it sounded like a movie put on fast forward.

"Hey, mind slowing down for the slow folk?" I asked placing both hands on her shoulders to stop her bouncing.

"Weve got to head to lunch now, so I can eat and not burn out." She grabbed my wrist and sped to the cafeteria.

When she stopped she was out of breath and I was seeing spots everywhere while I tried to catch my bearings again.

"I don't think I'm ever gonna get use to that." I mumbled as I stumbled behind her.

I grabbed a tray and it just had turkey, a bread roll, and a vegetable mix on it.

When I shook my head and looked at Claire's tray there was food piled up higher than I thought she would eat.

"How much do you eat?" I asked as I watched food gradually disappear.

"I have to eat a lot because my metabolism burns much faster than most people." She quickly explained before more food disappeared. "But let's start going over everyone."

I quickly pulled out my phone and began to take notes on everyone she talked about.
