As Claire drug me out of my apartment, I was beginning to think she was more excited about Mood being back than I was.
We decided to walk since the concert wasn't too far away. The lines were extremely long. It was like everyone had heard about this news before me.
I kept having this nagging feeling that something was going to happen today.
"Relax." Claire said as she intentionally bumped into me. "We're going to see your girlfriend. Nothing bad is going to happen."
"You're right." I smiled. "If I keep worrying, I might bring it to existence."
"See, there's the El I know." She laughed.
It felt like we were standing in the line for hours until we made it to the gate. Once ther Claire showed her phone to the man checking tickers.
"Oh. According to our system, you two were upgraded to VIP tickets." The man smiled and guided us to a door without a line. "Enjoy the show." He smiled before leaving us.
"I bet you Mood do that." Claire gave me a knowing smile.
I rolled my eyes and opened the door for her.
I couldn't contain my excitement, and I started to glow. Thankfully, we seemed to be the only people in the room.
"Well, I didn't think you'd be this excited to see her." Claire teased.
We heard a soft giggle, and we turned around to see Mood laughing with her hand covering her mouth.
I couldn't control my body as I quickly wrapped her into a hug."I missed you." I mumbled into her neck.
"I missed you too, Firefly." She softly said as she returned my hug before she quickly pulled her hand away. "You're burning up."
She carefully pulled away from the hug as she looked me over.
"Are you feeling ok?" She asked, a concern riddled her face.
"Yeah. I am now." I smiled.
I wanted to kiss her and tell her I loved her, but we both knew there was too high of a risk of us getting caught.
She tilted her head slightly, and I noticed she had an earbud in.
"I'm sorry, I've got to head to the stage." She sighed.
She gently grabbed my hand and squeezed it.
"Go sing your heart out." I softly said as she let go.
She smiled before she spoke up again, "Burn bright Firefly. Your seats are just through those doors."
She hesitated before she turned around and left.
"Do you wanna calm down before we take our seats?" Claire laughed. "You are glowing so bad right now."
"Shut up." I said as I gently punched her shoulder.
"I'm not the one making doe eyes at the star and glowing." She teased as I tried to punch her again.
"Come on, let's go to our seats." I groaned as I focused on trying to dim my glow.
After calming down more, we went to our seats, and they were right in front of the stage.
It wasn't long before the show started. The whole stadium felt as if it were turning into a whole welcome party for her, and yet I'd occasionally catch Mood glancing down to me.
Around the third or fourth song, my phone began to vibrate violently in my pocket. I carefully pulled it out, and it was an emergency call. There was a villain near by tha was actively causing problems.

I glanced down and saw Shining glancing at her phone, and she was no longer smiling. She looked up at me and I could see the disappointment on her face as her friend checked her phone.
'I'm sorry.' She mouthed before she quickly left, and her friend followed after them.
"Sister, there is a red alert," Logos warned as I continued singing. "Threat level has just been upgraded to black."
I was torn. I knew Shining just went to go handle the threat, but was anyone else called in?
I finished up the song and acted like I was taking a drink of water.
"Give me the details now." I whispered before going back to performing the next song.

"I don't know why you're coming with me." I shouted while running to the location I was given.
"Like I'd just sit by and enjoy the show while you are risking your life." She smiled. "Besides how else and I going to make a face for myself." She teased.
"You can get in trouble for this." I warned as we stopped outside the door.
"Oh, I know. We all learned that every time you did this during training."
"Fine, but promise me you will get out if it becomes too dangerous."
"We both know I'm not making that promise." She said as she pushed the door open.
Immediately, we were greeted with a horrific scene. I think it was two people who were pulverized beyond recognition, and blood and cracks decorated the walls and floor.
I could see the fear displayed on her face, but there wasn't time to comfort her as we heard yelling coming from further with in.
I made sure she stayed behind me as we carefully searched the building. It was quickly obvious that this building was under construction, but the villain must have been searching for something here.
I readied my hands after the yelling had stopped. We carefully continued until we came to an intersection.
"Split.." Claire started.
"No. If we split up, we don't have coms." I said quickly, cutting her off.
"Which room then?"
"First right then left." I said as I leaned against the wall. "Wait by the door, and I'll signal if it's clear."
She nodded her head before I entered the room. A familiar buzz was radiating from fighter within the room. As I moved closer, I found an HRN drone flipped upside sown so it could no longer fly.
I corrected the drone before I heard yelling behind me. As I turned around, Claire rammed into my side.
I groaned as I sat up.
"Are..." I started until I made eye contact with a man in the doorway.
"Kids shouldn't be nosey." The man growled.
I looked at Claire and saw she was hurt. Her leg was bleeding, and she was trying to force herself to her feet.
I quickly rose to my feet and ignited my hands.
"I thought I recognized you." He smirked. "I guess something good is going to come from this."
Before I could react, he raised his hand, and the walls began to launch thousands of pieces of concrete at us.
I barely managed to force a sheild up, as one grazed my face. I hadn't realized the pillhad had begun to wear off until now.
"Lightspeed, I need you to reach into my pocket and grab the bottle in it."
"Ok. It's empty." She asked, sounding confused and scared.
"What?" I glaced down and saw she was holding an empty bottle. "Fuck."
I had to force a brave face as I was trying to think of what to do.
"Are you able to run?" I asked as I was trying to think of a plan.
"Not well." She answered with a shaky voice.
