Backstory | 83

Tuesday... 

Jack and I woke up at the same time in the treehouse today, due to his alarm for school going off. I was fully on top of him, my head resting on his chest and Jack had his arms very loosely around my waist.

When the alarm started going off, both of us began squirming the tiniest bit as we groaned quietly. My eyes scrunched shut tighter as I turned my head to face the other direction before resting it back on his chest. 

Jack rubbed his eyes quickly, still keeping them closed before shutting off the loud and obnoxious alarm. After that, his arms wrapped back around my waist more tight this time. 

By accident, both of us ended up falling asleep again. It made sense though since we were up quite late last night. 

...

I woke up suddenly by nothing in particular. Slowly I lifted my head off Jack's chest while rubbing my eyes.  After that, I looked down at him to see he was still sleeping. 

I looked over at my phone and my eyes widened when I saw the time. We were supposed to be awake half an hour ago! 

I was quick to begin getting up.

"J-Jack, babe! Wake up, we're late." I said tiredly but hurriedly as I rolled off him before sitting up and beginning to shake his body to wake him. A few seconds later, Jack's eyes began squinting, but they stayed closed. His hands went over his face as he groaned quietly. 

"We were supposed to be up half an hour ago. School starts in ten, we gotta go." I told Jack, running my fingers through his hair to push it back from his face. "Seriously?" He asked me, sounding tired but looking surprised as he moved his hands from his face and looked back at me. I nodded, holding my hand out. 

He grabbed my hand and both of us got up. I got on my sweat shorts since I was only in underwear and a t-shirt. Jack quickly got on his t-shirt and sweatpants since he was only in his boxers.

After that, we rushed out of the treehouse and went to our own houses. We planned to meet back outside in ten minutes so I had to hurry to get ready. Once I got inside, I rushed up to my room and to my closet. 

I got dressed in a grey cropped t-shirt with some army cargo pants. I rushed to put my hair half up half down, brushed my teeth, then go outside. Jack came outside pretty much at the same time as me. 

We rushed to drive to school together since by now, class started five minutes ago. 

We got to school after a ten minute drive, which made us now fifteen minutes late. And right when we got there, we rushed up to our own classes.

After School... 

School just ended and Alena and I planned to work on our assignment together again. But this time, we had to meet up right after school so we'd have enough time because I was going to be busy. 

The reason I was going to be busy later today was because tomorrow was actually Jack's 18th birthday. So him and I wanted to spend the evening and stay up until 12 am together.

I was REALLY excited for that but first, Alena and I had to get our work for today done. 

To make things more convenient, I decided to meet up with Alena when the bell rang and we'd take her car to her house. 

So once the bell rang, I headed out to the parking lot that was at the back of the school to meet with Alena since we didn't have last period together. She showed up there about two minutes later and took me to her car.

We got in her car and she drove to her place. We got there after a fifteen minute drive.

Once we got there, we went inside her house.
