Game Night | 101

Monday... 

The day after our whole family issue got resolved, on Saturday, Jack and I's parents took a very spontaneous trip together. It was just to Toronto which was like half an hour away so it was nothing big but they literally told us about it like an hour before they left. 

They said that the reason for it was just to really let go of any last few doubts about their friendships and relationships and what not. Also, they really wanted to catch up with each other. I was happy for them and I was glad they were doing this to further strengthen their friendships.

They said they'd be back Tuesday afternoon so Jack and I had our houses to ourselves for one more day which was today. Well, I mean Jack did have to look over Paisley though but that wasn't a bother for him.

But since our parents decided to go on a trip pretty much right away, we have yet to have a get together with all of us. I was really excited for that but now we had to wait for them to get back and stuff. Whatever though...

I got out of bed and went to my closet to get dressed for today. I put on a red cropped t-shirt along with some denim black ripped shorts. I left my hair down, brushed my teeth then headed to school with Jack again for the first time in a while. 

Lunch... 

Jack and I met up at lunch and went to each others lockers so we could put away our binders and what not. But after that, we went to the cafeteria. 

I noticed Jeremy and Coltin walking to a table together then sitting down across from each other. It's been a LONG time since Jack and I caught up with Jeremy, Coltin and Shayna. I missed them all so much but when this family issue started, Jack and I wanted to spend every spare minute with each other alone. 

But now I definitely wanted to catch up with them.

"Jack let's go sit with Jeremy and Coltin." I said with an excited smile before beginning to walk up to where they were sitting. Jack followed behind me.

"Hey guys!" I said happily as we walked up to their table. Jack greeted them with just as big of a smile. "Oh hey guys! Wow, it's been really long, huh." Coltin said with a smile. Jeremy greeted us happily as well. 

Before Jack and I could even sit down, we saw Shayna walk up to the table and she noticed us immediately. 

"Oh my god, finally!" Shayna shouted with a huge smile as she ran up between Jack and I, side-hugging both of us. I laughed as I hugged her back with both of my arms. "Missed you Shay." Jack said as he hugged her back tightly with just his one arm. "Me too!" I said quickly with a big smile as I hugged her tighter. "I missed you guys more!" Shayna said back.

After a few seconds, we pulled back from the huge and sat down. Shayna and I sat beside each other on Jeremy's side, with Shayna beside him. Jack sat across from me, beside Coltin. 

"So what actually happened with you guys? Like I know bits and pieces, but that's all." Jeremy asked Jack and I. "Pretty much, soon after our parents got married, they cheated on each other with.. well, each other and then recently they found out about it so everything blew up. And out parents who did cheat wanted to keep us away from each other since they were so mad and what not." Jack explained pretty vaguely. "Wow.. Seems pretty.. annoying." Coltin said with a small laugh. "It really, really was." I spoke up, also laughing a little bit.

"How'd everything get better then?" Shayna asked us. "We finally got them to talk to each other and it literally only took one try before they forgave each other." I answered while leaning back in my seat and crossing my arms. 

After talking to them about the problem for a bit longer, the subject changed and we started just catching up with each other. 

"Ooh guys! We should have a game/movie night!" Shayna suggested excitedly. "That does sound really fun." Jack said with a big smile. "Yeah we should! We could catch up more as well." I said excitedly as well. "Yeah, definitely!" Jeremy said, also seeming excited.
