The Next Day...

I sighed as I got out of bed then went to my closet to get dressed. I put on a white t-shirt with a jean jacket on top and some blue ripped jeans. I brushed my teeth and just before I was about to leave my house, I got a text. I pulled out my phone and saw it was from Jack.

Honestly, I was still kind of mad about last night. It wasn't unusual for us to get annoyed by each other sometimes but it often didn't happen.

Jack: Hey so I stayed at Ema's last night so don't wait up for me to go to school.

Wow, so even the next day he doesn't remember that he completely forgot our movie night? Because I was assuming that if he remembered, he would've mentioned at least something about it in the texts. But either way, would it have been so hard for him to just send me a text like that last night?

Anyway, so I headed off to school without Jack.

Once I got there, I went up to class and saw that Jack was already there, sitting with Ema. He saw me almost right away and waved at me with his signature grin. As I said earlier, I was still annoyed with him so I gave him a short wave back, excluding the smile before turning away and sitting down.

Lunch...

Jeremy and I decided to spend lunch alone today, which would leave Shayna and Coltin alone as well. Once the lunch bell rang, Jeremy and I walked out of the school hand in hand.

There was a play structure near by so we decided to walk there. Once we got there, we climbed up the structure and sat on the ground, our legs hanging over the edge.

"Roni, you seemed a bit down today. Are you ok?" Jeremy asked me. "Yeah, yeah I'm fine. Just a little annoyed at Jack currently." I sighed. "Really? What happened?" He asked, turning to me.

"Every Tuesday night Jack and I have a movie night in this treehouse and parents built us a while back. And that's been a tradition since we were like really young kids. And last night, I waited up there for him for about two hours when in the end he never even showed up. And I would be completely fine if he couldn't make it, as long as he told me so I didn't have to wait. And even today, he still doesn't even remember." I ranted to him but my voice stayed calm for the most part.

"Wow, really? That definitely doesn't seem like him from what I know.." He said, his voice clearly sounding surprised. "'Cause it's not like him. But whatever, it was just one night. Not that big of a deal.." I shrugged. "Yeah you should definitely talk to him later though. But for now the best thing to do is probably forget about it so you don't piss yourself off."He explained. "I guess.." I sighed again.

"Well I can help you with that." He said quietly, just before turning my cheek and pressing his lips roughly onto mine. One of my hands went to one side of his neck as I smiled against his lips. But this kiss was different than any of our other ones. It was beginning to get more intense, pretty quickly too. Our lips moved in a fast but passionate sync as the seconds continued to go by.

Suddenly, his arms went around my waist and he pulled me onto his lap, our lips not breaking connection. It surprised me at first but I was very ok with it. Wanting to make it more interesting, my hands went to his shoulders and I pushed him to lay down, his legs still hanging off the edge. My legs were on the structure on either sides of him, his body in between as my hands held both sides of his neck. I felt his smirk against me as his arms tightly went around my waist.

Just then I felt his tongue slide across my bottom lip as if he was asking for entrance. And of course I opened my mouth just enough which allowed his tongue to connect with mine. That itself made the kiss ten times even more intense.

End Of The Day...

Once I finished grabbing my things from my locker, I left the school, not bothering to wait for Jack. If he did show up right now to walk with me, this would be my first time seeing him today.

And to my surprise, after about a minute of me walking alone, Jack appeared beside me. "Hey. Thanks for waiting." He said with a tiny chuckle. "Hey. Thanks for ditching me without notice yesterday." I said, clearly sounding a little annoyed while continuing to walk. "What, what are you talking about?" He asked me, sounding confused. I saw him look at me from the corner of my eye. "You really don't know?" I stopped walking and turned to him, crossing my arms and raising a brow slightly. He shook his head, meaning no.

"Jack, I waited two hours for you in the treehouse." I said, raising my voice a little bit out of annoyance. "Wait wha-- Oh my god!" Suddenly his eyes widened and his hand went over his mouth. My eyebrow raised even more. "I-I didn't tell you.. did I?" He asked me, sounding like he felt very bad. "Nope." I said, still sounding annoyed.

"Roni, I'm so sorry! I swear I thought I told you I wouldn't make it for the movie night! Ema and I, we were just chilling with her friends and some guys on the team and I just--" I cut him off. "It's fine. Just, whatever." I began walking again. "Are you sure? I feel really bad.." He said, walking with me and putting his hand on my shoulder. "Yeah, it's fine I guess. Just, let me know next time." I told him, a small smile on my face. "Yeah, for sure. I promise." He told me quickly.

"So how's it going with the guys on the team and Ema's friends?" I asked him, changing the subject. "Well, I'm definitely not as close with Ema's girl friends but they're cool. I'm definitely getting real close with some guys on the team thought. And it really works out since those guys are friends with Ema and her friends too." He explained.

So in other words, he was part of the popular squad in our grade now...
