Next Tuesday...
I woke up a little bit nervous for today because today was the day Jeremy and I were presenting our drama skit.
I wasn't as nervous for actually presenting but more nervous for the freaking kiss.
Jeremy was supposed to kiss me for five whole seconds.. That's what we planned. But that was a really long time compared to the split second kisses we've been practicing with. I was really scared that we'd end up laughing or it'd just be really awkward or something along those lines.
But whatever, nothing I could do about it now.
So, I got up and went to my closet to get dressed. I got dressed in a navy blue tank top with some loose, ripped blue jeans. I left my hair down, brushed my teeth, grabbed an apple, then headed outside to meet Jack.
"Today's the big performance, huh? You nervous?" He asked me as we began walking to the bus stop. "Not really for the actual performance but kind of for the kiss.." I said the last part quieter. "Why? Haven't you been kissing him like everyday?" He chuckled. "We kissed when we were practicing but those were only like a split second long. The kiss today is supposed to be five seconds." I explained.
"Come on! Five seconds is nothing Roni. Chill." Jack told me, laughing more now. "Maybe to you it's nothing, but this is different. Him and I aren't dating, it's different when it's with someone you actually have feelings for." I sighed. "So you really don't have feelings for him at all?" Jack asked me before sighing. Just as I heard him ask that, a flashback of that small moment Jeremy and I had last week came to my mind. But I mean.. just because we had a small thing, it obviously didn't mean I like him. "No, I really don't." I answered.
"Damn, I really hoped you would, that would've been so exciting." Jack said, sounding disappointed. "Well, I'm bound to find someone eventually." I shrugged.
Drama...
I walked into the room, a little bit nervous and Jeremy walked in soon after me. The teacher approached me pretty much right when I walked in.
"Great, you're both here." He said, Jeremy appearing beside me right after. "We'll start off with you two. Start setting up." The teacher told us before walking off.
"Really? We don't even get to practice once first?" I sighed. "It's fine, we got this." Jeremy smiled, patting my back before beginning to set up. I took a deep breath before beginning to help him set up.
After about five minutes, we finished setting up and the rest of the class settle down which meant it was time for us to perform. We also got some people from the audience to be extras. We told them what to do and when to do it.
The lights turned off and suddenly there was a spotlight on us. "Alright guys, whenever you're ready." The teacher told us, looking down at his clipboard. Jeremy looked at me so I looked at him as well. His eyebrows raised slightly as he mouthed, 'Ready?'. I took a small deep breath before nodding.
And so we began our performance.
Everything was surprisingly going perfectly, just as Jeremy and I had practiced. I was really relieved as the minutes went by because we were actually doing amazing!
But then we got to the ending.. the part that I've been really nervous about.
I was lying on the ground with my eyes half closed because I was almost dead and Jeremy was on his knees beside me, crying a little bit. His hand was on the bottom of my head, holding it up from the ground as his other hand was on my waist.
His character 'Aaron' began confessing his love for my character. As he did so, we heard a couple small surprised reactions from the crowd. I really wanted to look to see their reactions but of course I didn't since I had to stay in character.
