Jealousy? | 28

2 Weeks Later... 

Things with Jack were NOT getting better. My feelings were just growing stronger and more intense, day by day. It was really not ok. Jack was my best freaking friend! That's all we were supposed to be.. My feelings had to stop expecting more. 

I sighed as I got out of bed and went to my closet. I got dressed in a navy blue cropped tank top with some white denim shorts. I put my hair up in a high messy bun, brushed my teeth, then went to school with Jack. 

Lunch... 

For lunch today, Jeremy and I decided to go to the library together because we had a test coming up in our class together so we planned to study. So once class ended, we went to the second floor and went into the library. 

The two of us found a table and sat beside each other. We got out our books and binders and began studying. But I had to admit, we did get side-tracked a lot by non-school related conversations. 

Jackson's P.O.V... 

I was with my four guy friends but right now, all I could think about was Roni. I didn't know where she was. I knew she wasn't with Coltin and Shayna because I could see them from where I was sitting.

Jeremy wasn't there either... Were they together? I had to know where she was. So I decided to pull out my phone and text her. 

Jackson: Hey. Where are you?

She answered about three minutes later. 

Roni: Hey! I'm just with Jeremy in the library. We're studying for a test we have soon.

Why was she with him though? And that too, alone with him. I'm sure she'd have a much better time if she just hung out with me. 

Now I just felt the need to go up there and check on her. You know.. make sure she was doing ok and stuff... 

I looked up and my friends to see that it seemed Dean, Griffin and Calum were in like a deep conversation while Elijah was kind of just sitting on his phone. This was my chance. 

"Elijah." I said to get his attention. He looked up at me. "Let's go to the library." I said, standing up. "What, why?" He said, standing up. "It's too loud here." Obviously I wasn't going to tell him the real reason. 

So, we headed up to the library. Once we walked in, the first thing I did, was scan around the large room to find Roni. I found her pretty quick, sitting at a table right beside Jeremy. Why'd they have to sit so close like that. 

I walked over to near where they were while Elijah followed behind me and we managed to get a seat behind them without either of them seeing us. 

"Dude, good call on this. I'm chilling now." He smiled as he put in his earphones and slouched in his seat, closing his eyes. "Wake me up when lunch is over." He said quietly. Well, that was no longer a problem.. 

I looked back and Roni and Jeremy. I saw him whisper something to her, making her giggle. Her smile was gorgeous... 

I really wished I was in that seat beside Roni, instead of Jeremy. And this wasn't the first time I've felt something like this within the past two weeks. It's happened a lot actually, pretty much whenever Roni was with Jeremy. 

Was this feeling.. jealousy..? Why was I jealous though? 

Things were just being REALLY weird with Roni, ever since that time after the rugby game. This butterflies in my stomach feeling, how I got mesmerized every time I looked at her, and now how I was jealous. What the fuck was wrong with me? What did all of this mean? 

But anyway, near the end of lunch, they both got up after packing their books and stuff. I decided to just get up too. 

"Dude, I'm going now. You gonna stay for the rest of the lunch?" I asked Elijah, pulling out one of his earphones. "Yeah, go ahead." He told me. So we said goodbye, and I slowly followed behind Roni and Jeremy. 

They went downstairs and as they were walking to Roni's locker, Alena and Dara suddenly showed up in front of them. My eyes widened as I saw this and I immediately stopped walking, keeping a good distance behind the four of them. 

I heard Dara beginning to shout at Roni while Alena just stood there looking upset. But soon after, Dara's hand lifted and began charging towards Roni's face. Without hesitation, I quickly began running up to them. 

But I quickly stopped when I saw Jeremy's hand quickly wrap around Dara's wrist. He threw her hand down aggressively and began shouting at both of them. They looked very threatened and scared. 

But all I could think about was that Jeremy was in my place. I should've been the one to stop Dara and I should've been the one to protect Roni.. That was most definitely not Jeremy's job, it was mine. 

Fuck, I was getting that jealous feeling.. again. But I couldn't help it. Seeing Roni just standing there, looking so upset.. I just wanted to run up to her and hold her in my arms as I gave Dara and Alena a piece of my mind. 

But I couldn't because now Jeremy was doing it...
