The Next Day...

I got out of my bed and went to my closet to get dressed.

I put on a grey cropped t-shirt with an army green windbreaker over it. I put on some black ripped jeans, put my hair half up half down, brushed my teeth, then went to school with Jack.

Drama...

Jeremy and I once again got permission to go out to the staircase to practice.

Once we got there, we got right to work to make up for slacking yesterday. We literally had to present it next Tuesday which was a week exactly from today. We weren't laughing but we still needed at lot of work on other aspects.

By the end of this period, whatever weirdness we felt about the kiss was gone. But that was still only because we have been practicing with a kiss that lasted like a split second. I knew I'd still feel awkward when it was the real performance and he'd have to kiss me for like a good five seconds.

But anyway, after this period, we definitely had gotten much better. I was very sure that we were going to get a great mark on our assignment after this performance.

Just before the bell rang, Jeremy caught up with me again.

"Hey, uh.. So, I thought it was really fun sitting with you in Business, you definitely made the class a lot more fun. And so I was wondering if you wanted to sit with me again..?" He sounded a little nervous asking me which I found really cute. "Yeah sure, I definitely had fun yesterday too." I smiled.

Lunch...

Shayna and I met up with Jack and we all found a table to sit at in the cafeteria.

"Jack, how was your first rugby practice yesterday?" Shayna asked him while smiling. "I think it went great. It was mostly just us getting to know our team members and also us just warming up on the field." Jack explained it all with a smile.

"Did you meet any new people?" I asked him. "Yeah, I talked to everyone on the team and they're all cool. But I mostly just talked to these guys that are friends with Ema and her friends. I've met them before and they seem cool so I'm hoping we'll be friends." His smile got even bigger, making his deep dimples even deeper.

I smiled, seeing his smile. I truly loved and admired how much of a happy person Jack is all the time. I have rarely ever seen Jack upset in any kind of way, whether it was stressed out, angry, sad or anything along those terms. I've known him my whole life and have seen him in those kinds of mood a very countable amount of times.

But anyway, back to what he actually said. Those guys Jack was talking about along with Ema and her girl friends seemed to be like the 'popular group' in our grade. I've seen them around school and sometimes during lunch and they seemed to have many, many friends and also some shy people I've met clearly looked pretty intimidated by them.

For a second I got worried. I thought, 'what if Jack became popular and leaves me?'. Like I said before, Jack could've very easily became the most popular guy in the school because of his amazing personality mixed with his confidence. If Jack moved on from me, my life would literally become a mess. As unhealthy as it was, Jack was who got me through each day, if it weren't for him, I would be living a pretty depressing life.

But then I realized, Jack would never do something like that. We're as close as two people can be, nobody can just throw something like that away. I wasn't worried because there was nothing to be worried about.

"Shayna, how's your drama thing going with Coltin?" Jack asked Shayna. "It's going pretty well. Coltin is a really nice guy. But we don't have a make out scene like Roni and Jeremy." She said the last part with a laugh. "Excuse me! We are not 'making out'. And we're only doing that plot for extra marks!" I told them both. "Sure that's the only reason.." Jack said, smirking at me. I rolled my eyes, chuckling quietly.

"Do me a favor, Shay. Film Roni's presentation, would you?" Jack asked Shayna, still with the same smirk. "Of course I will." Shayna grinned devilishly. I face-palmed, an embarrassed smile on my face under my hand.

Business...

Jack and I walked into the room together and right when we got to our table, I remembered I was supposed to sit with Jeremy.

"Jack, I told Jeremy I'd sit with him again. Is that ok?" I told him. Just as he was about to answer, two guys walked up to us. I recognized both of them to be the friends of Ema, Dara and Alena. These guys were also on the rugby team with Jack.

"Jack, bro, sit with us in the back." One of the guys said, handshaking him. Jack looked back at me after they walked away. "Well that worked out, huh." Jack said to me with a chuckle, his dimples flashing on his cheeks. I chuckled as well, putting my backpack over my shoulder again.

Jack and I waved each other goodbye and both of us went to our separate seats. Jeremy showed up and sat beside me about a minute later then class began quickly after.

That Evening...

I forgot to mention this last week but every Tuesday before Jack and I's movie night, at exactly 7:00 pm, our family would meet  in one of our backyards and have dinner together. That's been our tradition for years now. And each family would make at least two courses for our entire meals.

So it wasn't only Jack in his family that I love. Jack actually had a four year old ADORABLE little sister, Paisley, who I absolutely loved. Her and I got along so well and whenever Jack and I hung out with her, her and I would always team up against him and it'd be the funniest thing ever. And as for Jack's parents, they were like my second parents and I knew Jack could say the same for my parents.

Anyway, my parents finished making the food just on time so the three of us went out to our backyard and put the food on our pretty large picnic table. Jack, his sister and his parents showed up about five minutes later, putting their food on the table as well.

Jack greeted me with a side hug and just after I kneeled down on my knees and hugged Paisley. After everyone greeted everyone, we got seated. Jack and I sat on one side with Paisley sitting between us and our moms sat across from us with our dads sitting on the sides of the tables.

"Jack, you had your first rugby practice yesterday, right? How was it?" My dad asked Jack before taking a sip of his wine. "I did. And honestly we didn't really do any practicing, more just warming up and getting to know our teammates." Jack told my dad, smiling. "Did you make any new friends on the team?" He asked him, also while smiling. "I think so. I met like four guys. earlier and they're all on the team too so it worked out." Jack explained.

"What about you Roni, your first practice is tomorrow, right?" Jack's mom asked me with an excited smile. "Yeah, it is. And I'm extremely nervous! It's probably going to be really hard to make some new friends on the team.." I answered. "Roni, you'll be fine. You managed to already make a couple new friends in your classes." My mom spoke up. "Sure I will be.." I sighed, putting my fork down and leaning back in my seat. "Oh shut up Roni! You best believe you'll make more than one friend." Jack told me firmly. I rolled my eyes, smiling the slightest bit.

Later That Night...

After eating, talking for a while and cleaning up, it was around 9 like it usually was. So Jack and I met up again and headed to our treehouse. I turned on the TV right away so Jack could see a tad bit despite his night blindness. I held his hand and helped him sit on the pillow-covered ground beside me.

I got our movie on for us then both of us laid down, putting the blanket over us. Jack put his arm around me and I rested my head on his shoulder.
