First Day Of Grade 12...

Summer was amazing. I loved every single day of it. But the best part had to be when me, Shayna, Jack, Jeremy and Coltin all went on a road trip together for three days. We drove to Quebec and stayed for two nights. Even the ride there had to be one of the most fun moments in my life. We had music blasting, all windows down and a car full of snacks. Jack did go on vacation though to Australia with his family for two weeks near the end of the break though so I did really miss him then.

During the summer, Jack and I also got more tattoos. But he got way more than me.

He got a half sleeve on his right forearm, the opposite arm of him previous tattoos, and they extended a bit onto the back of his hand. They also went a bit above his elbow and were fully uncolored.

He also got a tattoo behind his left ear, on his upper neck. It was a small outline of a daisy with the stem. Daisies are my absolute favorite flowers.

Finally, he got a small one-word tattoo on the left side of his waist. The word was a Dutch word, "Vandaag" which translated to "Today" in English.

The meaning behind this was that Jack actually used to have a lot of anxiety as a young kid. Luckily he got over it but whenever he would start freaking out a lot, his mom would always tell him, "Maak je zorgen over vandaag, niet over morgen" which translates to "Worry about today, not tomorrow". So this tattoo was kind of a reference to that and a reminder.

It was simple but pretty powerful. I loved it and the idea of it.

As for me, I only got two more small tattoos. One of them was on my right collarbone. It was a vine/flower design then went along my entire right collarbone. My other tattoo was just under my left thumb on the palm of my hand. It said 'darling' in a cute cursive font. It was just something my dad has been calling me since I was a kid and I have always loved the nickname.

That's honestly all that's changed. Everything else was exactly the same. And I was very happy about that actually.

But now, it was time for senior year. It was a bitter/sweet moment for me. I was very sad that one of the best summers of my life was over.. but, I was also happy to be starting afresh with a new year. And my schedule was pretty great as well.

This semester, I had gym, philosophy, math and business, all in order. I had two classes with Jack. Math and Business.

This looked like it was going to be a pretty great year.

I got out of bed and went to my closet to get dressed for my first day of grade 12. I put on a yellow cropped t-shirt as well as some denim blue ripped shorts. I left my hair down, brushed my teeth, then went to school with Jack.

Once we got to school and parked, we left the car and walked to the entrance hand in hand. Jack and I were having a hilarious conversation as we walked inside.

We only took a few steps inside while laughing our asses off before Jack suddenly bumped into someone. Both of us stopped laughing quickly and when Jack bumped into the person, our hands broke connection.

Jack and I both looked at the person and they looked at him. My eyes widened when they landed on her.

It was Anabelle.. The only ex of Jack's that he wasn't over when they broke up... The one he REALLY liked.. She was even more gorgeous now.

I stepped aside a bit, just looking at them when I saw that they were both looking into each others wide eyes.

"Anabelle?" Jack said quietly, sounding very surprised as he continued looking into her light brown eyes. "Jack!" Ana suddenly said as her eyes lit up. She suddenly hugged him tightly, her arms around his neck.
