The Next Day... 

I got out of bed and went to my closet to get dressed. I put on a white cropped t-shirt with some grey sweatpants. I put my hair half up half down, brushed my teeth, then went to school.

Lucas's P.O.V... 

I walked into the room, really hoping Roni would be here today.

I couldn't help but smile big when I saw her sitting at her seat. Finally, I was finally able get this all over with. But obviously not yet. 

I smiled as I walked over to my seat with my friends. 

Lunch...(Veronica's P.O.V)

I was at my locker, swapping out my binders when I heard my name being said behind me. I turned around after shutting my locker and sighed when I saw Ema. 

"Hey Roni." She smiled devilishly. I rolled my eyes. "Walk with me, let's talk." She linked her arm with mine and began forcing me to walk with her. 

"How's it going without Jack?" She asked me bluntly as we walked towards the cafeteria.

Lucas's P.O.V... 

I was walking towards the cafeteria and that's when I saw the perfect setup.

I saw Roni and Ema together, right near the cafeteria and Jack was walking towards them, probably just to walk past them. I was quick to jump on the opportunity. I jogged over to them. 

"Jack, Roni." I said loudly but not in a shouting tone as I got closer to them. Ema, Roni and Jack all turned to me. Ema looked confused and both Roni and Jack looked annoyed to see me. Jack began walking away and Roni was trying to get out of Ema's grasp. 

"Guys, please wait. I have something important to say." I raised my voice a bit but not in an angry way. Surprisingly, they both stopped. I walked up to them. 

"But first," I pulled 200$ out of my pocket. "here's 200$ back Ema." I said, putting the money in the pocket of her jean jacket. She suddenly looked concerned. "Luke, what're you--" I cut her off by shushing her. 

"Jack," I turned to him and he looked very annoyed by me. "Roni wasn't lying." I told him, forgetting to give context. "What're you talking about..?" He sighed, crossing his arms. 

"Everything was Ema's plan. She paid me $200 to become Roni's friend a--" I was cut off by Ema. "Lucas doesn't know what he's talking about! I had nothing to do with this!" She shouted, running up between Jack and I. 

Veronica's P.O.V... 

I walked up to them as well with my arms crossed, but I didn't get in the way of anything. I was just observing for now.

Was Lucas really going to tell Jack the truth right now? If he did, that could potentially fix everything between us... I really hoped that was going to happen but on the outside I stayed calm.

But I was also wondering how Lucas got that $200.. When we were 'friends' he did vaguely tell me that him and his mother were struggling a little bit with money..

Jackson's P.O.V... 

I had no idea at all what to think right now.. But judging by the way Ema was reacting to what Lucas was saying, it's possible he actually could've been telling the truth right now. But why?

"Dude, don't listen to her. She doesn't want me to tell you the plan 'cause she wants you." Lucas told me firmly. I looked down at Ema. She looked very worried. 

"Go on." I said, raising a brow as I looked back up at Lucas. "So I was just friends with Roni for about a month and the actual plan was to randomly kiss her when she least expected it. And it had to be in front of you so it'd look like she was cheating on you. Ema asked me 'cause she knew we hate each other. But dude I swear to god, Roni had no idea I was going to kiss her. And we've done nothing like that before. We were only friends." He explained, still sounding firm.
