1 Week Later...

From what I knew so far, Anabelle still hasn't made a decision of what she wanted to do with Ema and Dara. But ever since I told her, she has still been hanging out with them during lunches and probably after school too.

I wasn't mad or upset about that though, not that I had a right to be anyway.. but still. I wouldn't be upset even if she decided to stay friends with them ultimately. I would still be worried, sure, but not upset.

Just like Ema said, Ana is an adult. She knows what's best for herself.

Lunch...(Alena's P.O.V)

After second period ended, I left my class and went downstairs.

I was headed towards the cafeteria to meet up with my friends when somebody on their phone bumped into me.

"Oh, I'm so sorry!" The girl said quickly.

When I saw her, I immediately recognized her from somewhere. She was the new girl that I've seen hanging around Ema and Dara on multiple occasions. Anabelle. Roni actually told me about this whole situation. She also told me a bit about Anabelle's history in regarding Jack.

Honestly I felt bad for her.. She had no idea what she was getting into by taking my place in that friend group. But I also kind of wanted to talk to her.. see if she was anything at all like Ema and Dara. I mean, Roni told me she was nice but I wanted to see for myself. Also I wanted to know how they were treating her.

"Oh hey, you're Anabelle, right?" I asked her just to be sure while smiling a little bit. "Uh, yeah. Do I know you?" She said, seeming confused but also speaking in a friendly way as she put her phone in her pocket. "Probably not, unless Ema or Dara have mentioned me. I'm Alena." I told her, also in a friendly tone.

"Um.. no, I don't think they did actually. Should they have?" Anabelle asked me. "Not necessarily." I said shrugging.

"I used to be their best friend ever since elementary school. But I left them last year." I told her. "Oh really? Why?" Anabelle asked me, now with an intrigued tone of voice. "They were both just really, REALLY toxic and negative.. They've done so many bad things to so many people who didn't deserve it." I explained, sighing as I thought back at it.

"Wow.." Anabelle said quietly, looking down as she sighed a little as well. "They really must've been bad people.." She continued to speak quietly. "Has someone already told you something?" I asked her, knowing it couldn't have been that easy to convince her. "Uh, yeah. This guy, Jackson, told me everything him and his girlfriend have been through with Ema a few days ago.. They were some pretty bad things.." She told me, looking pretty conflicted.

Well that was good to hear. All the shit that Ema did to Jack and Roni was a great reflection and example of who she really is. It was definitely good for Anabelle to know all of that stuff.

"Right well yeah.. All that is a good example of the type of people they really are. I'm glad he told you." I said back, my hands going in the pockets of my sweats. "Yeah, he uh.. he told me to think it through a lot about whether or not I should stay friends with them." She explained. "Yeah you should definitely do that. Have you decided on anything yet?" I asked her. "Not really.. it's really hard to decide.." She sighed.

"How have they been treating you? Like, are they actually nice?" I asked Anabelle, very curious about this. "I mean, they've been nice to me. I can definitely see that they have some attitude, but I kinda liked it about them.. 'cause I never saw them be actually 'mean' to anyone." She shrugged a little bit. "Well, I guess that's good.. But if they start being mean to you, you should definitely leave right away." I told her with a somewhat firm tone to my voice. "Yeah, I probably will." Ana said back.
