The Next Day...

These days, I had a pretty small amount of motivation to actually get out of bed and go to school. But luckily, not little enough because then along with my moods dropping, so would my grades.

So, I got out of bed and went to my closet to get dressed.

I put on an oversized grey sweatshirt along with some black denim ripped shorts. I put my hair in a high messy bun, brushed my teeth, then went to school.

Once I got to school, I went up to my first period class where Jack was already at. I walked up to our table and both of us greeted each other with small smiles as I sat beside him.

For today, the teacher actually only let us work on our assignment for the last quarter of the class. That was because she apparently had an 'important lesson' for us. And the due date for this assignment was on Thursday. Today was Tuesday.. So we had quite little time to do this assignment that required A LOT of work and knowledge.

But for the last quarter of the class, Jack and I worked as best as we could on the assignment. Surprisingly though, we actually had a tiny bit of side conversation today, disregarding anything to due with the assignment.

We didn't talk much besides for the assignment, but still. It was something. For just a single moment, it almost felt like nothing ever went wrong between us... But that feeling went away pretty quickly when the subject of our conversations went back to the assignment.

Lucas's P.O.V...

Once the bell rang, meaning first period was over and it was time to head to second period, I did just that like usual.

But this time, I ended up running into somebody. Jack. Both of us stopped as we ran into each other.

Seeing him made me kind of angry, not gonna lie. I mean, he cheated on one of my good friends and now he was dating the person he cheated with.

"Based off the look you're giving me, I'm assuming Roni told you everything?" Jack said, sighing a little bit. "Mhm.." I said, raising an eyebrow and crossing my arms.

"Oh my god, dude, I didn't do anything!" He raised his voice a bit, looking more upset than angry. "So you're saying that Roni just made everything up?" I asked him, clearly an annoyed tone to my voice. "No, obviously not. I'm saying that Ema set all this up and made it look like I've been cheating." He told me firmly.

Well.. Ema did set up that whole thing to make it look like Roni cheated on Jack a while back so I wouldn't put this past her... But would she really try something like this again?

"I don't think she's desperate enough to try something like that for a second time.." I leaned my shoulder against the wall that we were standing beside. "Well apparently she is.. I'm telling you, she's fucking crazy." He sighed again.

Was he actually telling the truth..? I was really starting to believe him a little bit.. Only because Ema has done this type of thing in the past though.

"Did she really set all of it up..?" I asked him quietly, kind of surprised at the fact that I was believing him already. "Yes, I swear." He answered quickly. "You really didn't cheat at all?" I asked him again. "No!" He raised his voice again.

"A-And you're not still seeing Ema?" I asked him once more, even though I knew he was probably annoyed as fuck by me asking the same thing pretty much over and over. "Dude.. NO!" He said, clearly annoyed as he crossed his arms. "Sorry! I'm just shocked that I'm actually believing you right now.." I sighed.

"Either way, it doesn't really make a difference whether or not you believe me.." He shrugged, also leaning against the wall beside us. "I know.. I mean, I'd help if I could, but I doubt she'd believe me since I don't have proof." I told him. "It's fine, don't worry about it I guess.." I sighed.
