A Month Later... (Veronica's P.O.V)

Life with these feelings for Jack was honestly getting overwhelming.. I knew that if he ever found out my feelings, it would ruin our friendship completely. And that was the last thing I wanted. So no matter what, I just had to make sure he'd never find out about my true feelings. 

But these trances I kept falling into when I looked at him really wasn't helping that situation. Every single time Jack and I had a movie night for the past month, I've barely been paying attention to the movie. Instead, I've been busy just staring at Jack because I knew he wouldn't be able to notice. 

God, this was starting to get truly annoying... 

I got out of bed and went to my closet to get dressed for the day. I put on a loose yellow cropped t-shirt with some high waisted black jeans. I left my hair down, brushed my teeth, then went to school with Jack.

Business... 

I had this class with Jeremy so I walked in and took my seat beside him, smiling as we greeted each other. 

Near the end of class, Jeremy spoke up. 

"Hey Roni, I feel like it's been a while since we hung out outside of school, don't you think?" He said. "Yeah, I guess that's true. Do you have something in mind?" I asked him with a smile. "How about we go bowling? Something fun to distract us from school for a while." He asked with a smile. "Yeah, definitely! Sounds fun. How about at around 8?" I said happily. "Yeah, that works."

That Evening... 

It was around 7:15 right now and I planned to leave around 7:25 because I actually lived pretty far from the bowling place but I knew Jeremy lived pretty close so he'd probably be leaving at around 7:45. 

But for now, I decided to get dressed in something a little bit nicer. Not to impress Jeremy or anything.. but you know, for fun. So I got up and went to my closet. 

I got dressed in some blue high waisted ripped jeans and a simple floral bodysuit. I also decided to tie my hair half up half down.

Jackson's P.O.V... 

I just came back inside from playing in the backyard with Paisley because it started to rain a bit and the sun pretty much went down fully. I went up to my room and as I was walking by the window, I took a small glance out it.

I stopped quickly when I noticed Roni in her room. I looked back at the window and saw her tying up her hair. She was facing away from me but I still noticed she was dressed pretty nice. 

Where was she going at this time? I wanted to texted her and find out. 

Jackson: You going out tonight? 

Roni: Yeah. I'm just meeting up with Jeremy.

She was meeting up with Jeremy, dressed like that? Were they going on a date or something?! I looked back out the window just in time to see her leaving her room. 

For whatever reason, I felt anger building up in me. Why has she been hanging out with him so much recently?! At school and now even outside of school? 

I quickly rushed out of the room, unable to control my unreasonable anger. 

Veronica' P.O.V... 

I grabbed my mini backpack, then left my room and went downstairs. Once I got my shoes on, I walked out the front door and locked it behind me. 

I turned around and noticed it was pouring rain and completely dark out now.. How did I not hear that before? I didn't want to unlock to door again just for an umbrella though. I just decided to make a run for it.
