The Next Day...(Jackson's P.O.V) 

I groaned, my hands going over my face as my loud ass alarm started going off. I shut it quickly then put my hand back over my face. 

Goddamn I hated mornings...

After waking up a little bit more, I grabbed my phone from the nightstand. I turned the screen on and a text notification from Anabelle caught my eye immediately. 

Wow.. It had to have been four years ago since the last time we texted..

But before looking at her text, I quickly sent my good morning text to Roni. Then after that, I went to Anabelle's text.

Ana: Good morning Jack! Long time no text huh? XD

I smiled and sat up in bed as I read her text.

Jack😊: Good morning :) Yeah, 4 years to be exact lol

Ana: Yeah. I miss this😋

Jack😊: Haha the good old days

Ana: Exactly!

Ana: But anyway I actually texted you cause I had a question🙂

Jack😊: Alright what is it?

Ana: I was wondering if you wanted to hang out for a while after school today? Just us..?

Her message made me kind of nervous.. Why did she want to hang out with me alone? I wouldn't think too much of it if it weren't for her little hand holding move on me yesterday. That whole thing just made me feel like she was trying to start something between us again. 

But Anabelle would never do anything like that.. or so I thought. She knew I was with Roni. It was Ema's thing to try and interfere with relationships. That was definitely something Ana would never do. 

But then again, I only knew the version of her from four years ago. Now she was an adult and she had new personality traits. But she still seemed like the exact same really nice person she was before. 

I decided that I'd be down to chill with Anabelle for a little while after school but only with Roni's permission. I mean, whether she was a very nice person or not, she was still my ex.

Jack😊: Uhh can I get back to you on that?

Ana: Yeah sure! Just let me know.

Jack😊: For sure.

After I finished texting Ana, I got up from bed to get ready.

Veronica's P.O.V...

I got up from bed and went to my closet to get dressed for the day. 

I put on a dark blue cropped t-shirt with some dark grey denim shorts. I left my hair brushed my teeth, then went out to meet up with Jack.

Once Jack got outside as well, we greeted each other normally with a hug and quick kiss then went into his car.

"So," Jack said, turning to me a bit in the car seat after both of us settled in. I looked at him. "Anabelle texted me this morning." He told me. Hearing stuff like that still made my heart jump a bit. "Oh really?" I said, slightly raising a brow. 

"She said she wants to hang out with me after school.. alone apparently.." Jack told me a bit hesitantly. And now my heart was starting to pound again... "Oh.. A-And do you want to?" I asked him a bit nervously. "I'm not really for or against it honestly.. So I decided that I'm down to do it only if you're 100% fine with it." He explained. I sighed quietly, looking down.
