My heartbeat started quickening as his lips inched even closer to mine. By now, they were two centimetres apar...
I rolled out of bed and went to my closet to get dressed. I put on a grey and white thin striped t-shirt and some black ripped jeans. I put my hair half up half down, brushed my teeth, then went to school with Jack.
Once we got to school, Jack and I said goodbye and we went up to our classes. I took my regular seat and Lucas was already there so we greeted each other with friendly smiles.
I felt like because of yesterday, I've opened up to Lucas much more and I wasn't as shy around him anymore. It's only been a bit over a week but it still felt as though he was a good friend of mine.
I felt so glad and lucky to have met him. He felt like such a perfect friend to me. I was hoping we'd get close and I'd eventually be able to introduce him to Jack. Maybe they'd become friends as well.
Lucas's P.O.V...
I thought about it for a while last night when I got home but I still couldn't tell what I felt about Roni now. Before yesterday evening, I really didn't care to be Roni's friend. I found her boring and nothing like me to be completely blunt.
But after yesterday evening, it felt different. Now I found her a bit more intriguing and all my responses to what she said to me didn't feel completely fake.
Yesterday, she was a lot more different. I saw her more exciting side and I kind of liked it. But still, if could get out of being her 'friend', I would. Just because she was a bit exciting, doesn't mean I'd want to be her friend.
That Evening...(Shayna's P.O.V)
It was around 5:30 right now and Coltin said he'd pick me up for our date at 6.
I decided to get ready now. He didn't tell me much about what we'd be doing but he did tell me it was going to be outdoors. It was a bit chilly out so I decided to dress a bit warm.

After I finished getting ready, it was ten minutes until 6.
For the last ten minutes, I just sat in bed. I was REALLY nervous. I was going on a date with my good friend for over a year. How did Roni do it? She's been best friends with Jack her whole life and I was here nervous like crazy.
My heart literally skipped a beat when I heard my phone beep. I grabbed it and I took a deep breath when I saw a text from Coltin, saying he was here.
I got up and headed downstairs. I told my dad I was leaving then headed out the door. I went over to Coltin's car which was right in front of my house. I opened the door and got inside.
"Hey!" I said happily, surprisingly covering my nervousness well. "Hey Shayna. You look beautiful.." He looked at me up and down as he said the last part, a soft smile on his lips. I felt my cheeks heat up a little bit and I couldn't help but smile. "Thank you. You look amazing as well.." I said quietly, looking deep into his dark eyes. His smile grew a bit bigger before he leaned in and pecked my lips.
