"I like you too, Veronica.. a lot."

My heart stopped as I heard his whisper. My eyes widened and I felt my entire body freeze like a statue. He pulled back and let go of me. He smirked a tiny bit when he saw me. But I was still unable to move.

After looking at me for a couple seconds, he walked away, right past me. But I continued to stand there for a good minute after he left, completely stumped as to what I heard him say.

Still in a daze, I began back away from the airport and to the bench again with my suitcase. I plopped down on the seat as I began thinking back at what he said.

My heart started pounding as I continued to replay his words in my head. Soon enough, a gigantic smile spread across my face and I almost started giggling.

Jackson Meyer has feelings for me too...

This feeling was unreal.. It felt magical. My heart felt like it was about to explode with pure happiness! My hand went over my heart and I took small deep breaths, still with a huge smile on my face as I tried to calm myself down from this overload of happiness.

Jackson's P.O.V...

It felt like a weight being lifted off my shoulders as I told her.

I walked away after telling her and went to my car, where I still had the perfect view of her. I walked away because I wanted to leave the decision to her for whether or not she should continue on with her school trip.

I watched her in my car as my heart continued to pound out of my chest. Either she continued to walk forward, meaning she was going to forget what I told her and continue on with her trip, or walk away and potentially consider what could happen next between us.

But soon enough, I saw her turn around and begin to walk away from the airport, back to where ever she was coming from before. I sighed in relief as I saw this, but my heart continued to pound.

I saw her sit down on a bench. Only a couple seconds later, I saw her beginning to smile, maybe even laughing. I couldn't help but chuckle seeing this as she looked freaking adorable. It was so cute to see how happy it made her, knowing I felt the same for her.

I decided to stay parked where I was for a couple minutes, to give her some processing time. But after about five minutes, when she seemed to calm down a bit, I decided to drive up to her.

Veronica's P.O.V...

I sat there alone for a couple minutes, continuing to think about what just happened, until a car, drove up right in front of me so that the passenger seat was right in front of me.

The passenger seat window rolled down and I stood up quickly when I saw Jack. My heart began pounding all over again. He raised his hand and waved me over to come inside, with an adorable smile on his lips.

I hesitantly walked over and opened the passenger door. I sat down and shut the door, putting my suitcase in the back seat. He began driving right away, neither of us saying a word. I noticed he was driving out of the airport parking. Well, I was fine with missing that trip anyway.

There was complete silence for the first five minutes of driving. But after that, Jack spoke up.

"How about we go out for some food?" He suggested. "S-Sure.." I said, very clearly sounding nervous. I heard him chuckle quietly, before speeding up the car a bit. We talked a bit during the ride but it was mostly silent.

After about a fifteen minute car ride, we got to his destination. It was a little dine in bakery place. Seeing it got me excited. "Is this good?" He asked me with a smile. "Yeah, of course!" I said excitedly before getting out of the car. He got out of the car as well and we walked inside together.
