"Is that just your Build-it Box?" Sonic frowned, interrupting Tails.

Tails grinned. "With one crucial improvement!" Tails typed on his computer for a bit. A bright flash of light soon followed, and Knuckles placed a pair of sunglasses on, acting pretty cool. When the flash dimmed down, the gang's favorite videogame character, Miss Tomatopotamus popped up on the screen.

"Is that Miss Tomatopotamus?!" Penny squealed.

"The game that shattered gender architypes by putting a little red bow on the pre existing design!" Knuckles added, surprised. He turned to Tails. "What's she doing on your screen?"

Tails pressed a button, and a second later, Miss Tomatopotamus popped up right in Tails' Build-It-Box.

" With this upgrade to the Build-it Box, I'm able to materialize three dimensional manifestations of characters from video games!" Tails grinned.

Sonic snickered. "There is a certain princess in a castle that I would like to meet."

Penny scowled at him in annoyance.

Knuckles smiled, taking off the sunglasses and cooing at Miss Tomatopotamus. "You're cute you know, for a pudgy little crime against nature. Smaller than I expected though."

"That's because I set a file size throttle on the machine." Tails said.

"That makes sense." Penny hummed. "Pretty smart, Tails!"

Tails smiled back at her.

Knuckles continued to coo at the little hippo. "Here kitty kitty kitty!"

"I think the correct term is 'here, hippo hippo hippo!'" Penny corrected him. She yelped when Miss Tomatopotamus spat tomatoes at her, and she ran around the room. Penny snarled and whipped the tomatoes off her, and she and the gang chased after her.

Eggman snickered as he watched the team struggle with Miss Tomatopotamus. "Ohhh, the gang got a little pet hippo this week! What a fun adventure! That has nothing to do with me. Time to change this narrative!"

Eggman turned off the screen and walked away with Orbot and Cubot. When the trio left, Nominatus popped up on the screen. He snickered and turned to his goons.

"If Eggman thinks the narrative is about him, he's got another thing coming!" Nominatus turned to his two new partners. "Retro! Beta! Are you thinking what I'm thinking?"

Beta looked a little uncertain. "Ehh square pixels make us look fat?"

"NO!"

Nominatus opened up another screen and watched Penny and the gang chase after Miss Tomatopotamus around the room. He snickered when he eyed Tails' build-it-box. "That fox's invention is our chance to finally escape this virtual prison, and infect the real world!"

"Please calm down, Miss Tomatopotamus!" Penny pleaded as she continued chasing the hippo.

Tails tried to lasso her, but accidentally lassoed Amy and Sticks. Miss Tomatopotamus ran up to Penny and licked the human girl, before curling up on her lap.

"Aww..." Penny sighed. "All right, you won me over."

"She's cute, isn't she?" Knuckles cooed, sitting down next to Penny, and the hippo moved up to Knuckles and sat on his lap.
