Dude, Where's My Eggman?

Orbot groaned as he got up, placing a hand to his head. "What happened to us last night? My head is spinning."

Cubot grinned. " That's not spinning! This is! " He spun his head and yelped, clutching it with a groan. "Oh, that was a mistake. I hope whatever we did yesterday didn't involve a heavy meal."

" I'll check my memory array. " Orbot said. The spherical robot scanned his memory and frowned curiously. " Curious. Last night's memory file appears to have been erased. Check yours."

Cubot nodded and tried scanning, but stopped halfway. Orbot shook his head, rolled up and pressed Cubot's eyes. Cubot closed them, and a second later he reopened them again. "Where was I?"

"Perhaps Dr. Eggman knows something about this. Dr. Eggman! Sir?" Orbot called, rolling into the next room.

No sign of the doctor anywhere.

Orbot frowned. "That's odd. Usually by this time he's telling us how inadequate we are. It appears as though he's completely vanished."

Cubot's eyes widened with excitement. "Uh, so wait, Dr. E ain't here? I can do whatever I want? I'm gonna kick over that garbage can!" He moved over to the garbage can and tried to kick it, but he was too far away. Orbot sighed, moved up, and knocked it over for him.

Cubot narrowed his eyes. "That'll teach you to mess with me, doc!"

" We need to figure out what happened to us last night and find Dr. Eggman." Orbot said, and he hummed thoughtfully. "But, where to start?"

Hearing a knock on the shack's entrance, Penny hurried over, surprised to find Orbot and Cubot there. "Hey, guys! What are you doing?"

"What do you two bolt-bags want?"

Penny jumped at the sight of Sonic standing there. How fast did he move to her side?

"Oh, my own talk show, long blonde hair, taste buds..." Cubot began.

"But that's not why we're here; we seemed to have misplaced Dr. Eggman. Did you and he perchance battle yesterday?" Orbot asked.

"Oh, we battled alright; I remember it like it was yesterday." Knuckles grinned suddenly, walking up.

"It was yesterday..." Sonic sighed.

Knuckles glanced at him in confusion. "What was?"

Penny shuddered in fear as Eggman cackled at them evilly. Sonic whimpered. "Oh no, I guess we have no other choice but to give up! Let's go, Pen!" He grabbed Penny in his arms and was about to zoom out with her, but accidentally collided with a tree. Penny yelped.

"Sorry..." Sonic mumbled.

"Hey, that's not how-" Sonic frowned.

Knuckles shushed him.

Back to the battle. Knuckles took a deep, brave breath and smirked. "I'll handle this!" The echidna ran towards Eggman, knocking away robots as he did so. He skid to a stop, and hovered threateningly over Eggman. The doctor whimpered, falling to his knees and pounding Knuckles' chest.

The echidna growled. " Now, you've made me mad."

Knuckles leaped into the air, and a fire aurora surrounded him. He launched an fire beam at Eggman, who opened up an umbrella. However the umbrella burnt to the ground. Eggman sobbed at the sight of his failure as Knuckles landed on the ground.

Penny immediately left Sonic's side and rushed over to Knuckles, hugging him tightly. "What a dreamboat!"

Sticks and Amy joined in as well, and Knuckles gave all of the girls a giant hug. He smirked.
