Knuck, Knuck, Who's Here?

Penny gasped as she ran with the gang, all trying to outwit Eggman yet again. The group split up and Tails smashed one with his wrench.

"Hey! No backsies!" Eggman grumbled at them.

"Sorry, Egghead!" Penny taunted happily, smashing a bot away with her staff. (She was really relieved that Bea wasn't in any of those swarms.)

Sticks caught a Ball bot in her net and tossed it away, while Sonic spin dashed the robots. Sonic grinned at the sight of the broken robots in front of him. "Strike!"

"Sonic!"

At the sound of Knuckles calling his name, the blue hedgehog turned to the Echidna, who was running up with a smirk on his face. "How about a lift?"

Sonic smirked back and pulled out an Enerbeam. Knuckles grabbed the other end, and Sonic spun him around and around. Knuckles let go of the Enerbeam and smashed through the robots. While he was flying through the air, Knuckles turned to look at Sonic, a grin plastered on his face. "Next time, look where you're going!"

"KNUCKLES, LOOK OUT!" Penny screamed, her eyes wide. The echidna yelped as he knocked into a boulder, and fell unconscious.

"Knuckles!" Amy cried. She narrowed her eyes. "We better wrap this one up. Penny, go tend to Knuckles."

Penny nodded and hurried over to Knuckles while the rest of the team finished up the fight. Eggman glared down at them. "Well. My evening's just opened up. Maybe I'll check out that new falafel place. I have a coupon for unlimited hummus. So long, losers!"

He flew off.

Knuckles groaned.

The gang had managed to carry the echidna all the way over to Sonic's shack, and Penny did her best to wrap up the Echidna's wounds. Hearing him groan, everyone turned to him. "Is he waking up?" Penny asked.

Knuckles opened his eyes and glanced around in confusion. "Whoa. Where am I?"

Amy glanced at him in surprise. "You're in Sonic and Penny's shack."

Knuckles grinned, though he still showed hints of confusion. "Oh cool. Who's Sonic and Penny?"

Penny's eyes widened. "You mean you don't remember?"

Tails shared the same shock as Penny. " I'm afraid that blow to the head must have given Knuckles amnesia."

Sonic scoffed. " Pft. You mean like in hacky sitcoms?"

"No." Tails shook his head, but glanced at the others in determination. "But just in case, we should take him to a familiar place to refresh his memory, like in hacky sitcoms."

The gang took Knuckles outside of Sonic and Penny's shack, and led the echidna over to a set of weights. Amy glanced at Knuckles. "Your name is Knuckles. You're an echidna from Angel Island, and you're the last of your kind."

"You love lifting heavy stuff. You're the strongest one here." Sticks continued.

"Clearly." Knuckles said, smirking at Sonic, who groaned.

"Try lifting some weights. Maybe that'll jog your memory." Tails suggested.

Knuckles lifted the weights and frowned. "I'm still not remembering anything."

Sticks screamed suddenly, causing Knuckles and Penny to yell in fright. Penny recovered quickly while Knuckles, on the other hand, lost control of the weights. The weights twirled in the air and accidentally banged Knuckles on the head, causing Penny to let out a frightened gasp as she leaned over her injured friend. "Knuckles?!"
