"When's he gonna come..." Penny groaned as she buried her face in the couch pillow. "Sonic said he'd be back soon..."

"He'll barge in soon." Tails reassured her.

Right at that moment, Sonic barged in, excitement on his face. "Look what I found at the flea market!" He cried. He held up a type of videogame.

Knuckles grinned excitedly. "Dude! Is that "Tomatopotamus Two"?"

"That's the best one in the entire series!" Tails said excitedly. He frowned. "'Tomatopotamus' never worked in 3-D."

Knuckles nodded. "Game companies always ruin their beloved franchises."

"And they never should've changed the color of Tomatopotamus's legs," Sonic added.

"We used to play that all the time. Why did we ever stop?" Amy pondered.

"Alright, what's this about?" Penny asked curiously. "What's Tomatopotamus?"

"The game was built with a microchip made from Sparcium, a rare alloy that proved more valuable than the cartridge itself. All existing copies were recalled and melted down years ago." Tails answered her.

"The game, Tails. Not what it was made of." Penny giggled, ruffling his head.

"Well, we didn't get every copy," Sonic told Tails. He turned to Penny. "It's one of the best games ever!" Sonic grinned at her. "We'll show you." He placed the videogame in the TV and turned it on, handing her a controller. Knuckles, Tails, and Sonic joined her. Sonic showed her how to use the control and which character to use. Once she knew how to do the game, they started playing.

"Eat ketchup, Sonic!" Tails smirked.

Sonic grinned at his friends. "Need I remind you that I'm the undefeated "Tomatopotamus" champ?"

"Maybe you should put your tomato where your mouth is." Knuckles suggested.

"Tell you what, if any of you noobs can take me down, chili dogs are on me!" Sonic announced.

The game went on for a while until Tails got kicked out of the game. The kitsune sighed.

Amy smirked. "Bet you all thought Penny'd be the first one out, but the stereotype that girls are bad at video games is not only offensive but clearly, I--"

Penny stole one curious glance at Amy, and she clearly lost the game. Penny scowled at Amy. "Amy!!"

"Sorry!" Amy smiled sheepishly.

"You sweating yet, Knux?" Sonic asked.

"I never sweat; I have a glandular problem." Knuckles reminded him.

"We've reached hour 14 of the Great Tomatopotamus Challenge." Tails said, watching Sonic and Knuckles still play the game. Amy's eyes widened with excitement. "Looks like we're about to cross over to level 27; no one's ever made it this far before!"

Sonic's luck ran low because level 27 was Under Water level. Penny glanced at Sonic, wondering if he would have no problem playing a game that was water level. Tails grinned. " Ooh, it's an underwater level!"

Sonic started freaking out, struggling with his character and the controls. "No, no!"

sonic's hippo got hit by a mine, and it exploded. Sonic growled. "Stupid water!"

"Looks like Knuckles wins!" Penny grinned. At that statement, Knuckles stood up and began dancing in excitement over his victory. "I did it! Read and weep, Sonic Number Two! Oh, and what's this? A name above Sonic? It's Knuckles at Number One, forever etched on the Tomatopotamus scoreboard!"
