Penny cuddled up next to Sonic as she and her friends finished watching a movie together, and their favorite character had just finished his lines.
"Looks like our killer had the necessary... koalafications." Wombat was saying.
Sonic sighed. "Wombat's my favorite character on Marsupial Crime Unit. Sure, his digestion's slow and so are his reflexes, but he always gets his man."
"Agreed." Penny said with a nod of her head.
"Guess what, gang? Meh Burger now delivers! You get your order in thirty minutes or less, or it's free! So come on down!" Comedy Chip suddenly announced. He frowned, glancing away for a minute. "Why would they come on down if we're delivering?"
Sonic grinned at that news and picked up the phone. Penny glanced at him curiously. "Sonic, what are you doing?"
"Getting a Meh Burger order. Gonna see if they're telling the truth about three minutes or less." He replied. He dialed the number and after a moment, he grinned. "I'd like to place an order. Five Meh Burgers to Amy Rose's house. See you in thirty minutes or less!"
"Now what?" Penny asked as Sonic placed the phone down.
Sonic grinned at her. "We wait."
Penny stood for a moment and groaned. "When's the food gonna get here?!"
"Just be patient." Sonic told her. "How about we do something to pass the time."
Penny nodded.
After a few good three hours worth waiting, Dave appeared at the door, holding a bag. "Five Meh Burgers, piping cold."
Penny whined as Sonic tossed the bag to Tails. Sonic glared at Dave. "You're three hours late! Well, at least the food's free."
"Here's a comment card. I'd appreciate a positive review so please don't fill it out honestly." Dave said, handing Sonic a card. He walked off.
"I was really hoping for something juicy to eat!" Penny sighed. She stood up and walked to the kitchen. "I guess I'll prepare apple slices..."
Sonic smiled at her and turned to the card. "It says on the back that there's a focus group tomorrow to review Meh Burger's delivery service."
Amy looked relieved about that. "Finally. A chance to make our voices heard, by cutting down something that other people worked really hard on."
............................................................................................
"On a scale from remarkable to exemplary, how would you rate Meh Burger's delivery service?" D. B. Platypus asked the group.
Sonic scoffed, and Penny glanced at the hedgehog curiously as he spoke. "It's a joke. I could do it in three minutes or less!"
Mr. Slate popped up, looking interested. "Three minutes?! If you can do it in three minutes, you just got yourself a job."
Sonic frowned. "You couldn't pay me to work here."
"Sonic's right." Penny pipped up.
"We're not gonna pay you," Mr. Slate promised. "You think just because we're a global corporation that our employees deserve to make a living wage?" He chuckled at his joke and cleared his throat. "But I can compensate you in... a chili dog for every successful delivery?"
Mr. Slate held his hand out, and Sonic smirked, stood up, and shook it. "You got yourself a deal!"
Sonic turned around, and quite comedically, he and Mr. Slate spoke at the same time. "Heh. Sucker."
