Chapter 52

The phone rings and Im a bit nervous to talk to my mom. What if she knows. Hopefully she won't pick up.

"Hey Ali baby" says my mom through the phone right as she picks up.
Shit I say to myself

"Hi mom how are you?" I reply casually

"I'm doing great sweetie, how's your project going?"

"Good, it's really long and tiring, me and Lizzie are working on it every night"

"I bet. Should I email the school and say something.." I interrupt her

"No" I shout. "The principle really likes me and I want to keep it that way" I lie. Considering there is no week long project.

"Well okay sweetie, I hope to see you soon, work hard I'm gonna let you go now"

"Bye mom love you"

"Love you to sweetie goodbye"

I hang up the phone for what feels like it was hours. I check the call time and it had only been a little over two minutes.

I take a deep breath and walk back inside. I get only a few steps through the door when Harry grabs my arm.

I flinch.

"Chill it's just me" says Harry

"Sorry I just I...." I stutter and he interrupts me

Harry angrily growls "I could fucking kill your uncle for fucking you up like that....all I need is like 10 minutes and i swear to god he..." I interrupt him

"Harry it's ok." I sympathetically smile,
"Did you want to ask me something?" I ask
I saw the rage in his eyes, his voice was darker than usual, and I saw him clenching his fists at his sides while he was talking.
Does he really care that much?

"Oh right" he snaps out of his rage and takes a moment to regather his thoughts.
"Oh I was going to tell you I have soccer today, so I was wondering if you could just stay and watch the practice if that's ok or if you want?" He asks nervously

"Okay that would be great" I smile
"I'd love to watch you play"

"Oh" he says taken by surprise
"Okay well, that's great I'll see you sixth hour" he replies and walks away

"Bye" I mumble and walk back to my lunch table

When I finally get back to the lunch table I sit down and make casual small talk with my friends.
