Lizzie and I walk downstairs and I see her parents sitting at the coffee table. Lizzie says good morning and heads to the cabinets.
"Hello" I greet them and smile softly
"Hello Miss...I'm sorry what was your name again?" asks Lizzie's dad
I immediately smile nervously "its Alison"
"Well hello there miss Alison" he greets me cheerfully and his wife looks over at me and gives me a big smile.
"Hello Alison, Im Tammy" Says Lizzie's mom as she reaches her hand out to me.
I immediately shake her hand with a bright smile"Look I really really want to apologize for last night" I apologize shamefully and put my hands in my back pocket. Meanwhile Lizzie is making us both a bowl of cereal.
"Its okay" says her dad sincerely
"It just gave me a bit of a scare" he says while reading the newspaper"yeah, me too" i nod and they both smile.
"It wasn't your fault dear" says her mom
"And thank you so much for letting me stay here last night. Lizzie is kind of my only friend and I had no one else to call, I mean i was in a panic mode, and Lizzie knew what was going on so-" I mutter and Lizzie's mom interrupts me.
"It's okay sweetheart" she says and stands up then walks over to me and gives me a hug. I hug her back very grateful that Lizzie's parents are so understanding.
"Thank you guys" I say sincerely and they both smile again as does Lizzie.
"Alright now you girls get some breakfast and head to school" Says Lizzie's mom and grabs her brief case off the counter.
"Ill see you later hun" she says and gives Lizzie a hug
"and you too of course" she says and kisses her husband goodbye then walks towards the front door.
"It was nice meeting you Alison, you both have a lovely day at school""You too" I say at the same time Lizzie says "Bye mom"
Lizzie's mom leaves and then her dad stands up shortly after, dressed in his full police uniform."I should head out as well." He stands up
"Have a good day girls and It was also nice to meet you Alison" he smiles and then kisses Lizzie on the head before walking out.I sit down next to Lizzie and my bowl of cereal she made for me.
"Feel better now?" she asks with a smile"Yes, much better" I smile back and she playfully shakes her head.
We eat our cereal in silence and it reminds me of the other day when I basically shoved peanut butter crunch down Harry's throat. I smile at the memory."Oh shit" says Lizzie and looks at the clock
"We gotta leave now if we want to get the coffee" she stands up and I follow"Oh yeah I forgot about that its still my week, Ill pay of course." I say apologetically
Lizzie nods and grabs her stuff as do I.
"Yeah Mia will KILL us if she doesn't get her coffee" she enhances the word kill and laughs lightly."Yeah I bet" I agree and quickly follow Lizzie out to the car.
We speed over to McDonalds quickly and this time go through the drive through. We order the coffees and wait in a short line."Wait." says Lizzie and looks over at me. I turn my head and raise my eyebrow
"How did you get the coffee every day If you were at Harrys house the whole week?" she asks curiously I smile and look down probably blushing.
"Oh my goodness he drove you here everyday didn't he?" she asks with a ginormous smile.I shake my head at her with a small smile
"Yeah he did. I had to beg him the first day but he caved"Lizzie squeaks
"Thats so adorbs" she says and pulls up to the window grabbing the coffees then handing them to me.
