Chapter 96

~Brielle's POV~
We were all in the common room, when I got a call from the twins' school.
I showed Alyssa the phone.

"Their school ended almost 20 minutes ago, why would the school be calling?" Alyssa asked. I thought it was weird too.
I went into the briefing room to answer the call.

Brielle: hello?
Woman: Hello, and I speaking with Brielle Severide?
Brielle: yes, speaking, is something wrong with Skylar or Cameron?
Woman: well... Skylar and Cameron never came to school today. We just wanted to let you know. Maybe you just forgot to call them out today?

Brielle: they never came to school today? They were supposed to... ok, I'll talk to them. Thanks for letting me know.
Woman: no problem ma'am.

I hung up the phone and went out to Alyssa.
"Is something wrong?" She asked me.
"Skylar and Cameron skipped school today. I'm gonna call them." I said.
Right before I called them, Alyssa got a call from Maxx.

We went to the briefing room and she had the phone on speaker.
"Hey sweetheart, what's up?" She asked.
"Hey mom... Sky and Cam never came to pick me up. I've been outside the school for almost 15 minutes now, waiting." He said.
I looked at Alyssa, confused and a bit worried.
"Um... ok, let me call Kenzie and she'll pick you up..." Alyssa said.

She hung up the phone and now I was getting worried.
"Maybe they're just running late...?" She asked me.
"His school went out almost 15 mins ago." I said.
"Maybe they got held up picking up Scarlett?" She said.
Then I got a call from Scarlett's school.
I put it on speaker.

"Hello?" I asked.
"Hello, is this Brielle Severide? Scarlett's mom?" The woman asked.
"Yes, speaking, is something wrong?" I asked.

"Scarlett is still here. Her siblings still haven't picked her up. So we have her in the office for now." The woman told me.
"Ok.. I'll have her aunt to pick her up. I'm on shift right now. She should be there in 10 minutes." I said.
"Ok ma'am." She said.
"Thanks." I said.

Now I was very worried.
"Ok, they didn't go to school, or pick up their siblings.." I said, staring to freak out.
"My love, calm down.. they probably just skipped and didn't realize the time.." Alyssa tried to calm me down, but I could tell she didn't believe anything she said either.

~Skylar's POV~
My head was pounding. I could hear something.
"Sky! Sky! Skylar!" I could hear someone whisper yelling. I opened my eyes and tired to move, and I could. I had my hands tied behind my back.

"Cameron? Cam!" I yelled out, now I was scared.
"Shh!" I heard someone shushed me.
"Calm down I'm right here." I heard the voice again. I looked and saw Cameron, he was tied up too about 12 feet away from me.

"What happened?" I asked him.
"Not sure.. where even are we?" He asked. We looking around. We were in some dark room with a ton of random stuff.
"Looks like a warehouse... look at all this stuff in here... who did this?" I asked.
"No clue... Just woke up like 5 minutes ago..." he said.

"You ok?" I asked him.
"My head is pounding..." he said.
"So is mine..." I groaned.
"Where's our bags?" He asked.

We could see our bags only about 7 feet away from us.
We tried to get them with our feet.
All of a sudden, we heard heavy footsteps.
"Quick, pass out." He whispered to me.
We both pretended to be passed out.

We heard the heavy footsteps.
"They still out?" We heard one voice say.
"We didn't even knock them out that hard. They should be awake, it's been 2 hours." We heard another voice say.
"Alright, let's wake them." We heard the first voice say.

I heard a click and then a gunshot. I flinched, but kept my eyes closed.
"Wake up!" We heard one of them yell.
I contemplated for a second, then I opened my eyes.
