[Correlates with Chapter 34-37 of Don't Fall For The Criminal. Book 1]
It's been a long three days. Thankfully, Mackenzie has listened to me and has stayed inside. Obviously I'm going to allow her to go outside, just not yet. Especially when things have been a little rocky with us. I did go out to get some things for the gang and also took Mackenzies phone to one of our guys here so he can make sure her phone can not get tracked.
I walked through the front door to see Mackenzie sitting on the couch watching tv.
"Hey Angel" I greeted her. I walked over to her.
"Hey" She said back kind of in a dry tone. I handed her the box that had her phone it in. She was confused, but opened it right away. "It's just my phone" She said as she looked back at me. I sat down on the other couch.
"Yeah, but I did some things to it so you can only call me and only me. Nothing else will work" I only told her that because she did know earlier that I had to do something to do so no one can track it.
"Thanks" She mumbled and looked back at the tv. She was clearly mad again. Now I'm mad. Again.
"Look at me" I said and she did. "You don't have a reason to be mad. I'm saving you. Don't complain" I snapped then stood back up.
"What about calling my parents?" She asked me.
"I told them we had no cell service here" I told her then started to walk towards the stairs. All she's been doing is fighting with me. I'm sick of it already.
"What if I wanted to talk to my parents Jason?" She snapped. I stopped walking and looked back to see her standing now.
"You can't" I said and shook my head. I continued to walk and headed up the stairs. I heard her groan. "Will you stop?" I yelled at her as I stoped walking.
"Sorry that I actually want to talk to them! You can't take my phone away and not allow me to go outside or open a window! This is ridiculous!" She yelled back at me. She'll get it one day.
"You follow my rules" I said back without telling then continued up the stairs. She's being ungrateful. I explained what was going and why I'm acting the way I am. But she doesn't care. Clearly she doesn't care if someone goes after her or finds her or me. Or kills either one of us. She's being dumb. I heard the house alarm start going off so I started to run down the stairs. What's going on? I got to the bottom and didn't see Mackenzie, but I did see the back door open.
"You have to be fucking kidding me?!" I yelled loudly. I ran to the back door and stepped outside. I looked around and saw her running through the woods. That's towards the town. I guess I know where to go. "Fucking child" I mumbled as I walked back inside. "So ungrateful." I groaned loudly and tried to control my fist because I want to punch something.
She clearly doesn't care if she lives or dies. We should have just stayed home then. Why am I helping someone who doesn't want to be helped?
I grabbed my car keys and walked out the front door. I'm just going to drive around down town I guess. It's a small town. She can't go far. I'm that bad huh? Explains why no one can truly love me. I'm an idiot for thinking there's a chance she could love me. And now I'm even more fucking angry at her.
