Stephen Mulhern one shots

Truth is out

It has been a week of the new found friendship between Ant and Dec and Stephen who always has bruises on him.They had their theories but no proof and when Stephen didn't show up for school someday's they were worried but they were worried even more when he came to school winching and limping.

When they asked Stephen what happened he got all defensive and told them off for not minding their own business.And each time Stephen felt bad for being rude but he really didn't need them on his case,And they were catching on to what was happening but Stephen would never admit it.

So today was bad Stephen didn't come to school and they had this test the next day and being the good friends they are they were going to bring it to him.It was also good that they all live near each other but Stephen was farther away but not by much so it worked well.

"Common Dec your slow"Ant complained about having to stop for the fourth time"Well then stop walking so fast Ant we don't have to hurry there you know"Dec told him catching up"Because something doesn't feel right and no i don't know why so let's go"Dec couldn't disagree something didn't feel right.

The boys hurried as fast as they could to get to Stephen's.They walked up the path to the white brick house and knocked on the reddish door.They stood there for a good minute until the door open to reveal a well built younger version of Stephen "Hello who are you"He snarled visibly mad he was missing something by answering the door"Well were here to see Stephen were friends"Ant told him.His brother looked confused "You mean my brother Stephen that does lame ass magic"He asked them and they nodded"Yes"Dec replied with bitter he didn't like that his brother thinks Stephen's magic is lame it was pretty cool.

"He has friends since when"The younger Mulhern asked "Since we met him so can we see him"Ant told him rather angry "Fine go it's the farthest door"Stephen's brother said letting them by still confused that his lame brother had friends.

The boys shared a look when they got to the top"His brother is a prat"Dec declared and Ant couldn't agree more.They walked down the hall and noticed the door which had to belong to Stephen.Ant knocked on the door a couple of times until they heard movement and the sound of feat pattering to the door.

They were shocked by what they had seen when the door opened and when Stephen noticed there wasn't a hit to the face or an insult when he opened the door and looked up frozen in shock.None of the boys said a word modified by what they were seeing Stephen unfroze first "W-what a-are you d-doing here-e"He stuttered out forcing his head down though it didn't matter now they saw the damage.

"S-stevie what happened who did this"Ant asked crying a little"N-no oone-e"He replied "That is a lie who the bloody did this"Dec demeaned after seeing the bruises and split lip"What aare youu doing heree"Stephen asked them "Well we were giving you your homework since their is a test tomorrow and to see if your okay and clearly your not"Ant said gesturing to his friend that looked about ready to fall over.

"I'm fine please go"Stephen pleaded to them but neither moved until Ant started moving towards Stephen who flinched back and made Ant stop 'Are you okay"He asked and Stephen nodded so Ant walked towards him again with Dec following behind slowly "Hey it's okay can i hug you"Ant asked Stephen who had his head down "umm erm"He couldn't get a word out but when he felt two strong arms wrap around his small taller frame he flinched a little but relaxed in the hold.

Dec joined the hug after closing the door.After some time Ant pulled away making Dec pull away to "Okay Stevie please tell us who is doing this"Ant pleaded to him"I-i can't"Stephen cried "Yes you can if we guess right will you nod your head"Dec asked and Stephen nodded "Okay"ant said looking at Dec they looked at each other thinking the same thing"Okay Stevie is it your mum and dad"Ant asked and what do you know Stephen nodded conforming their theory.

"Okay we need to tell someone"Dec said and Stephen started to argue"NO we are NOT leave it alone it's NOT YOUR business you should go NOW"Stephen told them,he was angry he just told them well sorta told them his secret and this is what they want to do"Stephen no we need to tell someone your getting hurt badly please"Dec pleaded with the taller boy but Stephen shook his head "No leave i am fine i can handle it"He said.

"No you can't look at yourself your face looks bad and your so skinny i could feel your ribs you are NOT fine"Ant told him making the younger man tear up because he knew they were right but he couldn't face his parents he remembered what happened last time he did that,he couldn't walk or move for a week"I can't"He sobbed sinking to his knees.Ant looked at Dec who had tears running down his face not liking that his friend was so sad and broken.

Dec sunk down to his knees and Ant followed his lead putting his arm around the sobbing boy "It's okay were here and not leaving i promise"Dec whispered in his ear making the silent promise that he will help the younger man and so will Ant who has wrapped his arms around Stephen's torso.

"Stevie i think you should tell the headmaster he can help"Ant told him from his hold on Stephen "I don't know if i can i'm scared"He told them "Well be there,your our friend were not leaving okay get it through your head "Dec told him sternly.

"They scare me though"Stephen admitted "Who your parents"Stephen nodded"Were protect you were not scared"Stephen had to laugh "What's funny"Ant asked "Nothing just you say your going to protect me but your only a year or so older thank me"he told them "Yeah but your right were older so were going to protect you"Dec said to him and for the first time Stephen felt cared for and he started to tear up again"Hey what's wrong"Dec asked concerned "It's nothing just ever heard that before or had people care for me"he said to the boys"Well you have us now and were not leaving"Ant said to him pulling Stephen back into another hug this time he relaxed fully.
