"His Majesty has returned!" Chray announced to the knights guarding the entrance of the palace. Immediately, the enormous double doors slowly opened and not a few seconds after, someone could be heard yelling from inside.

"Fatherrrr!" the little voice of a young child echoed through the halls and even the knights who were trained to be serious about their job couldn't help but be amazed and smiled at the prince.

Raegan emerged from the dimly lit halls to the outside wearing a few diamond rings in his fingers and a sapphire necklace that was meant to be worn by adults dangling lousily in his neck. Not a second after the prince emerged, countless black entities emerged from the darkness as well and they floated in the air following the little child.

They all headed towards the man walking to the palace while holding two big bads in either hand.

Raegan jumped on top of his father's back and slung both of his legs on either shoulders. He clutched his father's black hair and grinned. "You're back!" He greeted.

"I am. Did you have fun while I'm gone?" Ciaran inquired as he playfully bit Raegan's ankle.

"I did! I read a lot of books and played with the shadows. Look at them!" Ciaran turned his gaze to the front again and his eyebrows rose when he saw his shadows kneeling on the ground.

Just like the little prince, they were all adorned with jewelries too in every part of their body. Good thing it wasn't sunny as winter has come or else the shadows would've sparkled brightly under the sun.

Ciaran shook his head knowing it was the little dragon riding his back who did this. He didn't care though. He left his warriors with his son while he went to fetch a few things.

Well, not a few things to be exact.

"What are in these bags, father?" Raegan asked as he peeked over to one of the bags Ciaran was carrying. He couldn't quite see what they were since the contents were wrapped by another bag and sealed carefully.

"For your dad."

"Oh..."

The two reached the entrance of the palace and Ciaran handed out each bag to the two knights guarding the doors.

"Deliver this to the library. Arrange them when you get there," he commanded and the knights didn't even hesitate as they accepted the bags. "Thank you," Ciaran spoke before turning his back on them and walking away still playing with his dragon son.

It would be such an unusual sight for anyone who didn't know the history of the two.

A powerful dragon and a vampire king bonding together.

But that's what makes them special to the people of magic and the entire kingdom.

They couldn't ask for anything better.

As they were walking the hallways of the palace, the knights grunted slightly due to the weight of the bags and it got them wondering how strong one of their kings really is with him carrying these bags earlier without even dropping a single sweat and as if they were feathers.

"King Ciaran said these are for King Silas, right?" The first knight, Edward, asked as they climbed up the stairs to the second floor where the library was located.

"Mhm. I wish King Silas could return soon so he can check all the gifts King Ciaran had prepared for him," the second knight, Desmon, sweatdropped because it had only been a day since the vampire king returned to their kingdom after embarking on a journey with the white-haired king to a human empire.
