"I think you should carry him personally, Fenrir," Pier spoke as he chuckled while watching the scene of a dead swordmaster carrying a sleeping prince.

"I don't want to," Ciaran responded before huffing and instead pulling Pier closer.

They both stopped and the crickets on the background could be heard echoing through the silent night.

"Carry the prince back in his chambers. I have to talk with my love alone," Ciaran commanded the dead swordmaster and without even needing a second word, the creature nodded its head before flying off in the direction where Asher's chambers were located.

It was very ironic and comedic at the same time considering the dead swordmaster was one of the shadows that gave Asher a once in a lifetime experience he would never forget along with fluffy.

"Hmm?" Pier asked when the vampire king's arms wrapped around his waist and he felt Ciaran's face snuggle his neck.

"What should I call you now, my love? Should it be Eliam? Pier? Or Silas?" Ciaran asked out of the blue and Pier paused for a moment.

'Yeah, this would've confused a lot of people too. The question will eventually come,' he thought before opening his mouth to speak.

"You know..." Pier started and turned his body so he was facing Ciaran.

The vampire king looked handsome in his black suit. It suited him well and Pier took a mental note to compliment him later.

"I've talked with my brother in my dreams."

"Mhm."

It was the day before they both headed towards the Taron Kingdom to meet the royals after the war.

The day Eliam talked with Pier through their dreams was during that day and before the original Pier requested to talk with Asher for one final moment.

"He said something that made me realize a few things."

"And what would that be?"

Pier placed his hand on Ciaran's back and he started soothing it. Since the man was leaning down on him and was hiding on his neck, Pier looked like he was hugging Ciaran.

"He said he had forgotten his name."

Surprised, Ciaran's eyes widened but it did not linger. He knew there would be some explanation following the statement.

"And do you know why?"

"Mhm, no. Why?"

"It's because Pier became another person that the original one who owned the name was no longer held memories of it."

"..." Ciaran only kept his mouth shut as he listened.

"At first, I felt bad. It seemed like I've taken away everything from him. I took away his entire being including his name as Pier Belmiunde and his spot as the young master."

At first, Pier's heart ached so much with the thought of knowing what he had unintentionally done to the original young master.

"But then he said I shouldn't be sorry for taking his identity. Rather than letting it go to waste and rot, why not use it, right?" He chuckled at the unwarranted joke while Ciaran only kept his face lingering on the young king's neck.

"I'm not Eliam anymore as I've died in that world and decided to leave that identity behind." The white-haired king then looked at the brilliantly shining stars above.

"I may be Silas but if I change my name, it will also feel like changing my entire identity and I don't want that." Living as Pier made him see many things.
