The young king stood in front of a wooden door. His gaze lingered on the smooth surface in front of him.

The long, luxurious cape embraced his shoulders well as it draped on the floor behind him. The silent hall echoed a comforting silence that made his mind calm.

It all felt surreal.

It had been quite some time now since he transferred to this world and lived the life of Pier Belmiunde; the lowest noble of the kingdom.

The thought made him unknowingly chuckle.

It was a challenging journey.

He had to live the life of a young master with an empty title. Someone whom people would not even bother looking at because of how irrelevant he is.

"If you'd take me back to the first day I became him, everything is completely different," he mumbled underneath his breath and silence followed him again.

He never wished to be a king.

He never wished to be someone who had immense magic.

He never wished to become someone powerful enough to destroy everything of his accord.

It wasn't his desire when he transferred in Pier's body.

Instead, he wanted to explore the world. To see the amazing sights this world had to offer while he lived under the radar of everyone.

If he recalled, all he wanted was to never be seen by everyone and hide from their gazes.

If his aspirations on the first week he lived as Pier continued for longer than he expected, he would've never been here.

He might've been sitting on a chair while viewing the beautiful scenery of the Taron Kingdom from his room's window.

If his desire of just seeing the world continued, he would've been a concubine at this point.

The thought made him unknowingly procure a chuckle.

It all felt surreal.

Standing as the most powerful being of the world was never in his thoughts.

Pier Belmiunde's fate was to become the Crown Prince's concubine if Silas never traveled into both worlds back and forth.

The first day he transmigrated into the young noble's body, he just wanted to be left alone.

Yet he did not.

It felt like his heart and mind were contradicting all the time and he had to choose one.

"Being a concubine doesn't seem all that bad. It would be better if Asher never spared me a glance for the rest of my life." That's what he thought when he became Pier.

He could've lived the life of a concubine young master whose family was merged with the Royal Family as per the king's request.

He could've played the piano all day to his heart's content, read all the books in the library, wander around the capital secretly and go on his little adventures from time to time.

But he didn't.

"Because I chose my heart." He smiled as his hand slowly reached out for the knob.

If he chose what his mind wanted, he would be singing medleys all day long and telling the tale of a random author.

He would be indulging in the luxuries of a royalty and viewing the world before him until the day he died.

"Well, I am also doing that now. Just far different from what I imagined before." His hand landed on the knob and slowly turned it.
