"GAARGH!" All the shadows that the Vampire King unleashed immediately charged toward the giant wave that was rushing to the ship.

One by one, each shadow clashed with the tidal wave and every hit made a huge impact on the enormous body of water. Immediately, it was a sight to behold. Even the man who was watching the catastrophe near them was amazed by the vampire king's immense power.

Ciaran was a man who can withstand an entire army of powerful magicians and creatures by himself. Yet with his attribute, the Vampire King is an invincible fortress that none could destroy nor quake even in the littlest.

'My worries were for nothing,' the man thought as shadows continued to pour out of the magic circles that surrounded the ship. Each and every shadow either threw itself directly onto the water or casted spells that could disturb the wave.

Some of the shadows that stood on the ship with them were the powerful ones that Ciaran could rely on including the Fairy of Death and the Damned Priestess.

The man obviously looked at Agnes.

As far as he could remember, she was the shadow that the Vampire King had raised from the dead from the cemetery of Cresencia.

'Cresencia had a powerful priestess like this?' He wondered as Agnes raised her hands and in an instant, tornadoes struck the raging tidal wave and destroyed its form in the process.

It's as if he was watching high-caliber mages throw their spells into an open area and allowed their magic to ravage everything.

Magic was the core foundation of this world. It gave life to everything.

Once a person gains incredible knowledge of how to wield the foundation of this world, he will have the liberty to sit at the top of the world with everyone beneath his feet. That was why magicians are given greater importance in kingdoms as magic can do wonders that nothing else in this world can.

It can heal and destroy. It can create and shatter. Magic is not just a force to be reckoned with; it is the sole entity that nothing else can compare.

Mages and people in general who knew how to control their magic at the next levels are highly recognized by kingdoms and empires. They are given great societal positions and status that many would kill to have their hands on.

'But if Cresencia had magicians and mages like her, why did they lose?' He added but it was immediately answered when a person crossed his mind making him chuckle.

One may try and climb the ladder of power but no matter how much they will continue pursuing such an endless path, they will never overcome the one who sits in that core's core as well.

A core's core.

If magic was the foundation of the world, then the one who is its sovereign is also the foundation of the world.

The moment the Sovereign of Magic sat on his rightful throne, the end of the world was already determined.

It wasn't because he was evil nor was he the antagonist of this story. It's because he is magic itself.

If the Sovereign dies, so does his attribute. Magic will die with him. The world will die with him.

"My god," he closed his eyes and prayed to the man of his thoughts.
