Maura: You really should limit your red-meat consumption.

Korsak: I'm gonna eat whatever I want, whenever I want from now on. Life is too short.

Lindsay: I thought the girl's father was okay.

Korsak: Mm. He is. He got lucky.
He'll be out of the hospital in a few days. I, however, am still recovering.

Lindsay: It looks delicious. I'm getting my own burger and fries.

Jane walks in.

Jane: Good news. I've just come from the hospital. Gerry Kincaid regained consciousness. He's gonna make it.

Lindsay: That's not good news. That's excellent news.

Korsak: And how's Matt?

Jane: Cavanaugh's charging him with B&E, like he should.

Maura: Oh, I believe the parenting books call that "tough love," mom.

Jane: Yeah, I didn't tell him the D. A.
isn't gonna pursue the charges because he's testifying against his scumbag friend Tommy.

Korsak: Well, I hope a former friend.

Lindsay: I'm gonna order a burger. You want one?

Jane: No, thanks. I'm, uh meeting Veronica in 15 minutes.

Maura: Oh?

Jane: I'm not meeting her to get back together. I'm meeting her so I can get some closure. If you want, you can sit with me.

Maura: Oh, uh, do you think that maybe afterwards you can help me work on my jab?

Jane: Yeah, I promise to teach you self-defense if you promise not to punch like a girl.

Maura: Wh-- I don't punch like a girl.

Jane: Yeah, you do. Mmm! I'm gonna get some fries while I wait. You want an order?

Maura: No. Yes, I -- I'll just have one or two.

Jane: You're getting your own order.

Maura: Are you gonna order some dessert, too?
