At Merch

Jane and Frost show her picture to the bartender.

Bartender: Yeah, she came in on Monday nights like clockwork. She was here last night.

Frost: Did you see her leave?

Bartender:It was packed.

Jane: Did you see her with-with her wife?

Bartender: No, but she talked about her. I mean it seemed like a- like a good relationship.

Jane: As far as marriages go.

Bartender: Yeah. We have that in common. Rob was here last night. He worked the door.

Jane: What's his last name?

Bartender: Thatcher. It's not him, though. I checked him out before I hired him. He's clean enough to squeak.

They walk to him.

Jane: Hey. Sergeant Rizzoli. This is Detective Frost. You know her?

She hands him the picture.

Rob:This the dead chick?

Jane: Yeah.

Rob:I heard about it on the radio. Yeah, she slide up in here right after happy hour ended. Drinks go up after 7.

Jane: Did you see her with anybody?

Rob: We have a lot of good looking ladies here.

Jane: Did you see her leave?

Rob: No. Sorry.

Bartender: God, I hate this. If she'd just gone someplace else, she might still be alive.

Jane: Why? 'Cause it's a lesbian bar?

Bartender: Yeah. (She picks up a paper) I didn't take these psychos seriously. (She shows them the flyer.)
It's Massachusetts. Same-sex marriage is legal here.

Jane: Can we take this?

Bartender: Yeah, it's yours.

Jane: Thanks a lot.

Frost: If you think of anything...

He hands her his card.

Bartender: Alright.

Jane: God. Escalating Threats.

Frost: Desecration of Katie's body.

Jane: Looks to me like we got ourselves a hate crime.
