Elizabeth had been awake for hours, just staring at her ceiling. She wasn't sure if it was because she was excited for Christmas or because she'd left a ring on Mattheo's bedside table. Definitely the second option.

The dorm was quiet, Pansy's usual snoring, was absent and as much as it drove Elizabeth crazy, she missed it. The silence was deafening, allowing room for uneasy thoughts to swirl in her mind.

With a sigh Elizabeth rolled onto her side, staring now at the wall instead of the ceiling, not that there was anything interesting there either. She thought of her brother and how he was probably awake, sat in the dining room with their parents, eating the fancy breakfast that the house elves had prepared. She couldn't think of anything worse.

The awful silence, was broken when Elizabeth heard the sound of creaking floorboards outside of her door. Her head whipped upwards, her senses screaming at her to run, the anxiety she so often endured, making her want to vomit as she thought of the worst case scenario but as her door burst open, revealing Theodore Nott, in nothing but grey joggers she relaxed, flopping back onto her pillow.

"Hey, sorry did I scare you?" Theo whispered as he walked further into the room.

"You definitely made my heart race" Elizabeth spoke, leaning up on her elbows and letting her eyes roam up and down Theo's half naked body.

The boy seemed to notice her obvious staring because a smirk grew on his lips.

"Like what you see Montague?" He spoke.

"Maybe" Elizabeth winked, stifling a laugh.

"Well if you like it so much, you'll follow it into the common room" Theo raised his eyebrows, turning around and walking away, leaving Elizabeth's door wide open.

Her eyes landed on his ass, which looked rather peachy in his joggers but as if Theo knew, he flipped her off as he left the dorm. Elizabeth let out a laugh as she swung her legs out of her bed, her pyjama shorts and large sweatshirt covering her body.

With heavy steps, she walked down the stairs to the common room. Her eyes widened immediately as she took in the scene in front of her. Theo had two hot chocolates on the coffee table, the fire was cracking, projecting an orange hue around the room and there was an array of snacks.

"Merry Christmas" Theo smiled softly.

"Theo-how did you...?"

"Sneaking into the kitchens isn't that hard" Theo smirked, crossing his arms over his bare chest.

"I love it" Elizabeth chuckled, walking over to the sofa and taking seat, Theo dropping down next to her.

"So...wanna tell me why you didn't go home this year?" Theo side eyed her as he sipped his hot chocolate.

"I already-.."

"The real reason Beth" Theo raised his eyebrows.

Elizabeth let out a sigh before turning slightly to the right. "My mother is...as any pureblood mother is. Of course, she's more lenient with Graham because he's the one who will carry on the bloodline, so he's got a free pass. But me...it's always 'oh Elizabeth don't eat that, you should really watch your figure' or 'you should really find a nice boyfriend, you'll need to be married soon' it's exhausting".
