It had been two weeks since New Year's Eve. Two weeks since they kissed. Two weeks, since they'd spoken.

The arrival back to Hogwarts felt heavier than usual, a dark cloud forming over Elizabeth's head as she had stepped onto the red steam train. After that night in the kitchen, Mattheo had seemed distant. He wasn't acting like her friend even.

Maybe he'd regretted it. Although Elizabeth was doubtful. She was almost certain it was because of Olivia. Either way, she just wished he'd speak. Say something, anything.

Even as their group of friends had huddled around the sofas in the common room, he'd remained silent, his body present but his mind elsewhere.

One thing Elizabeth was thankful for, was Theodore Nott's ability to never hold a grudge against the girl. It was as if nothing had ever happened. Their friendship felt the same, the only constant thing in Elizabeth's life, was her friendships with the Slytherin boys and girl.

Pansy had become more than just Elizabeth's friend but practically her sister. Seeing as she was in fact dating Graham. The news had bought so much more joy into Elizabeth's life than she ever would have thought possible. Although, hearing how Pansy gushed over how attractive he was, twenty four seven, did want to make the girl throw up.

Getting back into classes, was the hardest thing of all though. Elizabeth found herself submerged in homework, with NEWTS not too far away, she had to do well and putting unnecessary strain upon herself, was one of her best talents. She hardly had time to sit and talk with her friends, let alone, chase Mattheo around the castle to demand answers.

So how she found herself being persuaded into a friendly game of quidditch, she'd never know.

"Please Lizzy! It will be fun!" Pansy groaned.

"I don't know..." Elizabeth looked into her lap. Only to look up and see five more pairs of eyes on her. All of them, silently begging her to agree.

There were two reasons, that Elizabeth was reluctant. One being that she was terrified of flying. The last time she did so, resulting in Graham having to help her down from five feet in the air. Two, she was terrible on a broom. It was one of the many things she'd never disclosed to anyone, not even Mattheo. She never thought she'd have to but with everyone's intense looks, she found herself nodding her head.

"Yes!" Enzo fist bumped the air.

"This is going to be great" Blaise chuckled.

"Let's go then!" Theo stood up, wrapping his arm over Enzo and Blaise's shoulders.

"Come on little Lizzy" Pansy held her hand out for the girl. Elizabeth took it with a sigh, following the three boys out of the common room. Mattheo and Draco close on their tails, seemingly submerged in their own conversation. One that Elizabeth wished she could hear.

Being at the quidditch pitch when it wasn't full of screaming students, felt strange. Good, but strange.

Elizabeth feared that if there was even one person watching, she would've ran away already.

"So seeing as we all have our own brooms. You two, will use these" Draco outstretched his arms. Handing each girl a broom that looked like it was a hundred years old.
