"Graham!" Elizabeth squealed, taking off down the stairs as fast as she could whilst trying not to trip over her heels.

"Hey lil sis" Graham chuckled, opening his arms and encasing the girl tightly.

"How? What-why?" Elizabeth stuttered, tears brewing in her eyes.

"Thank Nott over there, he sent me an owl" Graham nodded towards the boy.

Elizabeth turned around, watching as Theo rocked back and forth on his heels, a tight lipped smile on his face.

"Thank you" Elizabeth walked towards him, taking his face into her hands and pressing a sloppy kiss to his lips.

"Oi five feet Nott" Graham grumbled, watching as his sister rolled her eyes. "I'm only kidding" Graham added when he saw Theo's face fall.

"Why don't you two catch up, you've got time before dinner" Theo placed his hand on the small of Elizabeth's back briefly before walking over to Graham and giving him a 'bro' hug.

"Outside?" Elizabeth looked to her brother with wide eyes.

"Lead the way" Graham motioned with his hand, sending Theo a wink before following after his sister.

The patio was well lit, covered in fancy outdoor lights. Rose bushes surrounded them, a small stone bench pressed up against the house, the perfect place to sit.

"Wanna tell me why it was Nott writing to me and not riddle?" Graham had always been a straight to the point kind of guy. He didn't see the point in wasting time by beating around the bush.

"He's uh- he's marrying someone else" Elizabeth gulped, watching her brother's flat expression turn into one of rage.

"He cheated on you?!" Graham's voice rose, his nostrils flared.

"No! He-it wasn't technically his fault. It was his father, you know how he is...but he has to marry her and it broke me, it did. For the second time, I was alone...except for Theo" Elizabeth looked down to her slightly trembling hands. Maybe it was because of the cold but probably not....

"Baby sis, listen to me when I say, that after everything...you deserve to be happy. You shouldn't feel guilty for moving on and maybe riddle hasn't really moved on, he probably still loves you but if he has to marry this other girl...then he has to let you go" Graham took Elizabeth's hand into his own. "Don't ruin what you could have with Theo, because you're still holding out hope for him"

Elizabeth let Graham's words seep into her mind. He was right, he was always right. She deserved happiness and she could have it with Theo. It wasn't complicated, there wasn't any bad history, it was brand new and exciting.

"You'll always love Riddle, he was your first love and loving Theo, won't change that but I don't want you to live in the shadow of someone else. I don't want you to sit and watch as he gets married and has children, whilst you're still holding out hope that he'll come back to you" Graham tilted his head to the side slightly. He could see the wheels in his sister's brain turning.

"You know...when he told me about it, that he had to get married. He said we could still be together and I wanted to say yes but...I thought of you, I thought, what would Graham say to me right now and that's when I said no" Elizabeth chuckled slightly.
