°•. ✿ .•° °•. ✿ .•°Elizabeth had been confined to her dorm, Theo's way of stopping her from slowly killing herself. After her outburst in the great hall, Pansy and Enzo had been bringing her all of her meals, deciding that it probably wasn't a good idea for her to see Mattheo.
She felt better, the sparkle in her eyes was coming back and her cheeks had once again, filled out. She was coming to terms with her new reality, it didn't make it any easier, no. But she could start to look to the future and for once, she could see her future without Mattheo Riddle.
Elizabeth thanked Merlin for her friends, especially Theo, who hadn't really left the girls side. He would leave some nights to go and sleep in his own dorm but even that was a rare occurrence, he'd pretty much set up camp on Elizabeth and Pansy's floor.
As much as Elizabeth was grateful, she was pretty sure that Pansy was losing her mind. Especially when she was trying to sleep and Theo and Elizabeth would burst into fits of laughter. She actually said 'if I wanted to share a room with a boy, I wouldn't be a lesbian'.
"Beth, are you okay?" Theo's hand grazed her shoulder, pulling her from her thoughts.
"Hm? Yeah I'm fine" Elizabeth smiled softly.
"You zoned out" Theo chuckled, tilting his head slightly as he looked at her.
"I know, I was just...thinking" she grinned as she stared into his hazel eyes.
"Okay" Theo smirked, shaking his head.
"Don't you think whilst we are staying in here and missing classes, that we should at least practice some magic?" Elizabeth raised her eyebrows, a deep smirk on her face as she grabbed her wand.
"Depends what magic you mean because I don't think we should destroy your dorm, Parkinson will avada us" Theo also grabbed his wand, twirling it around his finger.
"Hmm well...expecto patronum" Elizabeth smiled as she watched the coyote bound from the tip of her wand, circling Theo with uncertainty as if sniffed him.
"I've never been able to do it" Theo muttered softly.
"What?" Elizabeth whipped her head to the side. Her concentration slipping and so, her patronus fading away.
"I don't have any memories happy enough" Theo shook his head, sighing.
"What ones have you tried?" Elizabeth rested her chin on her hands, looking at the boy with wide eyes.
"When I think of happiness, I go to my mother but...then the memories always distort to her being dead" Theo gave Elizabeth a tight lipped smile.
"Theo...." Elizabeth swallowed thickly, feeling sad for him.
"No don't do that...I'm okay" Theo cleared his throat.
"Well...how about you think of something else, someone else" Elizabeth slapped her hands against her thighs.
"I can try" Theo nodded, closing his eyes and exhaling slowly as he dug through his mind.
