Aika and Jin were back in bed for the Monday coming. It had been one week since Jin started living at the Kiryuus and he already had a new inspiration on how to earn enough money to pay for his own bills and live on his own. Looking at his phone which glowed in his face as Aika laid down on him hugging him, completely unconscious and asleep after staying outside in the snow for a while and playing in it.

Jin: {So people hire other people to draw art in these things called commissions. There's variability in pay and it seems different prices are set based on the size of commission, and the quality of the commission.}

Jin scrolled through a variety of sights looking at all the prices and types of commission there were. Looking at the quality of the art, the quality of the figures. He had tabs open for the prices of the clay, the correct paints and the carving blade. But he could tell there were quite large profit margins in the commission.

Jin: {Digital art is quite popular when it comes to commissions. Requests for art, book covers, some for small sprites. It's highly sought after and there are varying prices. Anime figures are also highly commissioned as many want customised characters compared to standard manufactured ones. Others want commissions of characters not manufactured or of these characters called OCs?}

Jin looked and the idea kept sparking into his mind. Plans brewed and ideas formed. How he could turn this into a sustainable income? It would be entirely dependent on the price he set, the quality his service was at and the desire of others.

Jin: {If I want people to take notice of me, I should make social media accounts to advertise my commissions. Realistically I'll need to make posts of the quality I can make figures and art. I should determine my costs and potential profit margins if I'm going to go with the penetration price strategy to put my foot in the door. Some people do offers such as commission packs which include free benefits so I'll need to consider that...}

Jins mind then raced. His thoughts normally raced and his plans where completely unlike that a 12-year-old child would have. He knew business terms even children older than him wouldn't know. His plans weren't unrealistic. In fact, they were meticulous and methodical. Like a well-structured business plan in his head, one that anyone on Dragons Den or Apprenticeship would wow at. He researched the best supplier of clay at the best value for quality and quantity. He found a cheap and highly-rated carving blade. He found great paints that were high quality, cheap and in high quantity.

He was looking up demo videos of how to make the figures and tutorials. He was seeing which sights he should place his commission on, and whether the benefits of paying a subscription for better marketing on the sight were worth the costs.

Jin was creating a flawless plan inside of his head. Nothing went under his nose and he covered everything.

The only thing left now, was to see if he could actually make the figures.

He decided figures were easier to do right now as digital art required a lot higher set-up cost he couldn't afford. But the most important thing right now was if he could make the figures to a standard where he would be able to sell them.

He looked at the tutorials and was confident he could do it. Nearly certain. But there was a small part of him that thought he might never have been able to go home. He might have had to abandon it, a place he was just starting to feel comfortable in.

But as Aika hugged him more, hugged him tighter whispering something in her sleep. He took a deep breath. Placing the phone down and hugging Aika close.

Jin: {I'm going to go home. I'm going to shoulder my own burdens for the first time. I no longer want others to support a life I should be able to take care of on my own. But... it would have been nice to take you with me Aika. To take care of you.}

Jin hugged Aika as he closed his eyes, tomorrow, he was going to see if he had what it took to shoulder his own burdens.

To live alone in a place he called home.
