Ch 67 - Bats, Ravens And A Fox In Between

Today was the day Mittelt would be introduced to Sona. They needed to at least have an amicable relationship as Sona would be the one helping Mittelt go to school. Without Sona, there was no school uniform and there definitely wasn't a single chance Jin or Mittelt could get into the school given their near nonexistent records and background history. So taking Mittelt to his usual routine, Mittelt was sat on his lap on his right leg. Waiting for Sona to arrive as she watched Jin play chess.

But as usual, someone arrived before Sona. Aika.

Aika: Hey Jin! Hey Mittelt!

Aika came running over in her white shirt and grey skirt. Her current school uniform from a school a bit out of Kuoh. Quickly she hugged Jin as she made herself comfortable on his lap, on his left leg facing in.

Aika: How was "training" Mittelt?

Aika said placing her hand on Jin's upper inner thigh as he tensed up. Looking at Aika look at Mittelt as he thought nothing of it. But it is impossible to think nothing of it. He literally found that impossible as he held firmly onto it.

Mittelt: It was great. Jin taught me a lot and helped me improve a lot. He has to get real close to me to help me remember~. It was my first time so he took it really slow~. Letting me get used to the movement, and his size wasn't a problem~. But not all of it was just about practising.

Mittelt said holding onto his right upper inner thigh as Jin tensed again. Looking at both of them talk and getting along. But something felt off. Hands were being placed in areas where normal hands shouldn't have gone. But they were only stabilising themselves. Right?

They weren't talking about anything perverted, they weren't arguing or doing anything abnormal or unnatural. They were just sitting down and talking. All while Jin tried to focus on his chess game. But then he tensed again. At the same time, they both squeezed his thigh. But Jin summed it up to the self-control problem he was having and them trying to balance on his one leg.

But soon the person Jin was waiting for was coming and would deliver him out of this weird situation, or hopefully make him more focused. Watching Sona sit down and look suspiciously at Mittelt and then look at Aika, looking with glares. Though Mittelt had her fair share of glaring at Sona. Looking at her violet eyes.

Sona: Do you two...

Mittelt: Yes. They know I'm a Fallen Angel.

Mittelt said glaring at Sona while hugging close to Jin. Sona looked at Jin and Mittelt. Looking at Aika who nodded slightly. All while Jin was just sitting there. Confused as always.

Jin: {Please don't tell me they're going to speak in this silent language again.}

Sona: Are you the Mittelt girl who Jin spoke of wanting to go to school?

Mittelt: I am.

Jin looked at the two as the air was tense. No better than the tenseness he was suffering through himself. What he was hoping for, a freedom from a tense situation when Sona arrived, was just replaced with another. Between two different species and factions.

The silence of the silent language and stares felt like an eternity to Jin. One he couldn't concentrate on either. He couldn't distract himself play chess if he couldn't concentrate. Forced to live through every second of the silence.

Sona: Jin... this is no problem whatsoever. I'm glad to welcome you to Kuoh Academy Mittelt.

Sona said with a smile as both Jin and Mittelt were confused. Honestly, they expected a little bit of resistance if the whole school was being used as a base got Devils. A single Fallen Angel would be out of place there. Jin was even worried she would be scorned. But Sona was happy about Mittelt coming to school. One full of Devils.

Mittelt: You're really welcoming me into school? Just like that?

Sona: If Aika can vouch for you, I see no reason why not to. Besides, you're for Jin right?

Jin: {She's for me? What am I a political candidate?}

Jin looked at Aika who was smiling, looking at Mittelt who was blushed red and looking at Sona who had a small smile one. Leaving Jin yet again, and not for the last time, very confused.

Mittelt: Y-Yes. I'm... for Jin.

Mittelt said hugging to Jin's side as Aika gave a small giggle and Sona smiled softly. Looking at Jins confused face made a bit of a wider smile on her.

Mittelt: Could I ask to be in the same years as Jin? As well as sitting next to him?

Sona: I see no reason why not. I don't have to factor in age for you so placing you in any year is fine. I'll also make it so you're sitting somewhere next to Jin. You can be sure of that.

Sona gave a small wink as Mittelt gave a small smile, hugging closer to Jin. As Jin looked down at Mittelt she looked at Sona with a small smile.

Mittelt: T-Thank you. Sona.

Sona: I also want you to know I'm sorry about what happened to your parents. I completely understand what you may think about me and Devils because of it. I'm not going to say Devils aren't bad because the reality is that some are. But if it's possible. I, would like to be friends with you.

Mittelt: I... I can see that happening.

Mittelt gave a small smile as Sona smiled. Rearranging the chess pieces as Jin slowly arranged his. Looking at Mittelt who was happy for a good reason. She could follow Jin to school. But when he looked at Aika, she grinned that same devious grin. Because she knew exactly what was on Jin's mind.

Jin: {How did Sona know about her parents? Aika. What did you do?}

Jin said looking at Aika suspiciously. As she gently rested her head onto his chest. He couldn't help but like it.

But that didn't mean Jin wasn't still very suspicious of what Aika was up to. Jin knew this must have been a long-term plan. Just how long and what was the end goal?
