Ch 94 - Dueling With Sticks (2)

Jin looked at Kibas flaming sword as Jin looked at his own wooden kendo stick. Giving a small smirk as he met Kibas charge. Clashing again in the middle of the dojo and a boom sounded out. With Kiba being pushed back by the greater force that was Jin.

Kiba: {That boom again! It happened when he hit Seji!}

Kiba took a couple steps back to regain his footing, flickering as he charged fast. His sword was on fire, with flames of mana. With each collision of Jins Kendo stick and Kibas sword sending small flickering around the air, floating and falling like snow. There was a boom each time they collided by Kiba quickly got used to it, not letting it throw him off. But as he struck down for Jin, the Kendo stick wrapped like a snake around Kibas sword. Then with a boom, hit Kiba in his centre mass. Causing him to cough up air and take a few steps back.

Jin: Two points for me.

Jin said as he readied his stance again, but it changed. As if Jin was going for a draw style technique without having a sheath and all while using a Kendo stick. But as Kiba slowly recovered from the hit as he looked at Jins stick, it was completely unburned. Undamaged from his attacks with an actual sword.

Kiba: {He's been using the booms he's making to offset the flames from my sword. Not only that, he's hitting the correct angle every time so that his stick remains undamaged. Not that good at swordsmanship my ass.} Two. But I don't plan on holding back any more!

Kiba said quickly he charging faster than before. Disappearing to any normal human eye. But Jin wasn't a normal human as he drew his kendo stick from his hand. Using Senjutsu, feeling a connection to the wood of the stick. Smashing through Kibas sword and slowing down. Gently tapping him on the fast as Kiba looked shocked. Stopping in front of Jin to look at the Kendo stick.

Kiba: H-How did you do that?

Jin: A little bit of Senjutsu to reinforce the wood in the stick.

Kiba looked at Jin in complete disbelief, because if one thing was certain, it was that Senjutsu couldn't do that. Senjutsu was related to Ki, Lifeforce and the body. It  normally couldn't reinforce objects.

Kiba: T-Three points.

Kiba said forming two short swords in his hand. Looking at Jin and standing there. He didn't know what to do. It wasn't that Jin was stronger, faster or had strange abilities. Kiba wasn't blind to it. Jins technique was at a level of mastery he had only ever seen in his master. A master swordsman. His master was someone of tremendous talent, yet he couldn't help but look at Jin.

Thinking he had more.

Kiba: I'M...

Jin: Stop making yourself seem dramatic. No one else is in here, it shifts your focus from the fight and if you need it to push yourself further, you need to train more. Four.

Jin said right in front of Kiba using Instant Movement, the tip of his Kendo stick pressed against Kibas throat. Kiba could feel the weight of Jins stick as he gulped. Lifting the stick up with his adams apple. Again Jin was so fast, that Kiba couldn't see a single thing. The tip of Jins stick had already "killed" him before Kiba could process Jin as being in front of him.

Kiba: *Sigh* Let's just stop this.

Jin: I don't think we should.

Kiba: Don't you think you've embarrassed me enough and showed off enough.

Jin: Trust me. I think you want to go for another round. Our last round.

Jin took steps back. But his style and stance changed to one Kiba hand never seen before. Jin got slower, as if he was about to start in a quick sprint. His arm was across the his body and his kendo stick in his right hand, to his left.

Kiba: {What is he doing? Why has he gotten so low? Is he going to charge right at me?}

Kibas weapon changed again to form a large sword much bigger than his body. Trying to cover as much area as possible so he didn't have to move as much defending himself. But then he heard a sigh from Jin, who ran at him, but at a quick human pace. Kiba looked confused, but attacked anyways. Striking down to Jin who attacked with a human strength, but much faster than a human.

Jin and Kiba clashed as Jin adopted a new style Kiba couldn't help but watch. Looking at the new style Jin started using.

Kiba: {This... This style. It's for me?}

Kiba watched as Jin used a style which forced on multi-hit one-handed sword techniques, mixing in with a variety of two-handed sword techniques with speed. The style Jin was using wasn't one of strength, but used momentum to increase the force of his strikes. It was a style made perfect for someone that specialised in speed with less strength than others. It was specialised for a knight, for Kiba.

As Kiba tried to deliver a heavy strike, but Jin quickly countered it with several quick strikes, in spins each strike heavier than the last. Throwing Kiba off guard as Jin quickly grabbed Kiba with one hand, throwing Kiba over his shoulder and into the ground. Pointing his Kendo stick at his head.

Jin: Five.

Jin said offering a hand to Kiba, for a moment Kiba was shocked. He was flipped over and his world was turned upside down. But as he saw Jins small smile, he took his hand. Spinning to get up with Jins help.

Kiba: That sword style. When did you start making that?

Jin: When we started. Though I was quite disappointed by the large sword. You're better off focusing on speed instead of anything destructive.

Kiba looked at Jin, but he couldn't even look in disbelief anymore. He had been surprised too many times to be surprised now.

Kiba: *Sigh* I know. Though, if I were to ask you to preform that style again, so I could learn from it...

Jin: The answer would be a yes.

Kiba gave a smile as the sword disappeared from Kibas hands. Turning his back to Jin and walking away. Only to leave with a few words.

Kiba: Since you've given me advice and taught me something. I'll give you some. Watch the Ball Tournament matches. I've heard you're not good with crowds, but watching would mean a lot to Rias, Akeno and the rest of your friends. So I recommend watching even if you feel a little bit queasy in such crowds.

Kiba said waving behind him, leaving. Leaving Jin to look as his Kendo stick. Giving a small smile as he began walking to the store room.

Jin: Watching others besides them may bore me and not be worth it, but watching them play sounds fun.

Jin said going to watch the Ball Tournament with all his friends in.
