Jin was asleep. Maybe it was a more than peaceful sleep than any he had before in this bed, hearing that Ban was proud of him. Though that was something he would never tell Ban. But even with the affirmation Ban gave, it didn't take away from Jins dedication to get stronger. To carry his own burdens and those of others he helped.

But while his very peaceful sleep brought him some comfort, it was quickly lost as his door was opened. Ban walking in and taking the blanket off Jin.

Ban: Wake up kid.

Jin: W-What?

Jin yawned as Ban switched on the lights that blinded Jins tried eyes. Feeling clothes placed on his lap.

Ban: Get changed and meet me down in the dojo.

Jin: {Why did he wake me up so early?}

Jin yawned as Ban walked out. Leaving Jin tired and confused on what was happening. But slowly he changed into his normal clothes as he walked down the stairs, avoiding the broken one and walking down to the dojo. Seeing Ban standing there waiting for him.

Ban: Good. Now let's go.

Ban immediately took Jins hand as Jins eyes suddenly widened. Looking at his hands and pulling back, but Ban had a solid grasp on his hand.

Jin: Why are you grabbing my hand old man?!

Ban: Were spending the day together. Breakfast at a cafe, shopping, bowling, lunch out, a movie, dinner out. A fun day together.

Jin: {Has he went senile from age?} Today I'm playing chess with Hex! I going to beat him today!

Ban looked at Jin and smiled dragging him out of the door and walking in the direction of the park.

Ban: You can tell him that we're going out today. But if you don't come back, I'll embarrass you in front of him.

Ban smiled widely as Jin looked completely shocked at the threat. Running down the streets to avoid the embarrassment. He had no clue how Ban would embarrass him, but Ban wasn't a man to go back on his word.

Quickly Jin ran to the park, but five minutes later he was walking back with his head down. Grabbing Bans hand.

Jin: We played a speed match and I lost in 2 minutes.

Ban laughed out as Jin scowled. Just two minutes. Hex was incredible at chess. At a speed they were moving the pieces, Hex could perfectly think of every possible move in that split second. Moving with perfect decisions. Always 10 steps ahead of everyone.

But from that complete utter defeat, came a day of surprising fun. Eating out in a large breakfast was extremely satisfying and with the buffet style cafe that Ban took Jin too, Jin could eat his fill. Stuffing himself full and eating more food than many in the cafe combined.

After that Ban went shopping with Jin. Naturally Jin didn't want anything as he didn't want to be a financial burden. But Ban literally pushed things onto Jin. A smart phone, more clothes all similar to Bans and ones he thought Jin would like. Shopping all stuffed into one bag.

Next they had some time in the arcades, their favourite machines ones where they won the most tickets. Punching machines, Wakamole, basket ball, any physical game they could play. Going light enough not to break the machines for the Punching machines but getting the 999 highscore. Hitting the heads of every mole that popped up. Getting perfect hoop shots every single throw. By the end of it they had piles of tickets and with the prizes they got, they made more money than they spent. Ban opted for many sweets, but despite Jins current and developing attitude, he opted for something a little more, childish. It was something similar to how a previous Jin would have been like before he ran away. A giant stuffed Snorlax the size of Jin.

Carrying it everywhere may have been impractical, and buying an extra chair in the cinema expensive, but Ban wouldn't refuse the first sign that Jin could be a normal child.

Lunch was another buffet in which somehow Jin ate just as much as breakfast, and dinner too. As if his stomach was a bottomless pit for food. Maybe he should have picked the stuffed Kirby instead.

But as the sun started to set, Jin and Ban went back home. A walking Snorlax seen where Jin was walking. So big it covered his body holding it.

However, there was always something that happened. A loud scream of a woman down an alley sounded out. One that Jin instinctively said ran towards. Running down the alley to a purple haired woman on the floor crying and shaking.

???: MONSTER!

Jin: No. This is my Snorlax. I'm here.

Jin lifted up his Snorlax above his head as the woman looked confuse at Jin. Pointing in a direction down the alley.

???: NO! THAT... one?

The woman looked down the alley yet it was completely empty. Jin looked down the alley to and their as nothing there. But suddenly he felt a slap across the head and a sticky sensation.

Ban: What have I said? You're not a monster Jin.

Jin: EW! Old man have you still got chicken grease on your hands?! Why did you put it in my hair?!

Ban looked at his hand and that definitely wasn't chicken grease. Flicking it off as he turned Jin around.

Ban: My bad. How about you head back and I'll help this woman. Take a shower and wash it out. I'll won't be too long.

Ban smiled as Jin gave a humph. Walking out of the alley and back to the dojo. But Ban wasn't going to be helping this woman. Disappearing right before her eyes. She looked completely shocked. Rubbing her eyes as if she was delusional and this was all a dream.

Everyone and everything she was was no gone. No monster, no Ban, and no kid carrying a large stuffed toy.

But it wasn't a dream.

Scene change

Up on the building parallel to another, creating the alley Ban, Jin and the woman were previously in. A man with sliver hair and raven feathered black wings was standing on the edge with his suit. Moving around and looking at Jin walking off.

???: Is that... huh. No, let's focus on that later. What's more interesting is that old man with the scared gear?

Ban: I'm glad you find me, an old man so interesting. But you saw something which you weren't supposed to see.

Ban was behind the man as he grabbed him by the neck. Holding him up off his feet as the man struggled to get out of Bans grip. It was so strong, so tight. Incomparable to any strength the man had seen any human wield before.

???: You...

Ban: Silence. Your death will be quick. {If Jins going to have even a chance at a normal life, the supernatural cannot know about him.}

Ban crushed the mans neck as he burst into a plethora of raven black feathers. Falling from the air as Ban took a deep breath out.

Ban: *Sigh* What is that? The fifth supernatural entity this week? What's happening to Kuoh?

Ban said as he disappeared. Not teleportation, but instant movement.
