After the incident, Jin gave back Hex his chess pieces. They were apparently very expensive custom made pieces that didn't just cost a few hundred dollars. But after Jin helped Hex up and the very wounded boys limped away, Jin had to go back home. The kick the boy gave was impressively hard and his cheek stung a bit. His clothes were also tattered and dirty so he definitely needed to shower.

So he walked home. Hex too walked home, walking with Jin to make sure he was safe. Despite the amazing show of strength he displayed protecting him and getting his pieces back. After Jin got back to the dojo, he waved goodbye to Hex who walked off back home. Walking up the stairs and past Ban who was reading a book. Walking into the bathroom.

Ban: {Wait? Was Jin dirty?} Jin come back here.

Jin walked out of the bathroom and looked at Ban confused. Who widened his eyes looking at Jin. But Jin seemed slightly confused.

Jin: What?

Ban: What happened to you?!

Ban quickly got up and rushed to Jin. Looking at his scratched and red cheek. The slight blood on it and his lip. Looking at Jin's dirty tatty clothes.

Jin: This? A little scuffle. It's what kids do. Though these kids were a lot bigger than usual. I'm surprised they still act like children.

Ban: What happened to your training?!

Jin: Well they stole Hex's chess pieces and pushed him over. But I didn't resort to violence first. I provoked them so I could then hit them after they attacked me. But the attack was a bit harder than I expected. They all practised this thing called Hyper Karate and I got hit with this pretty hard attack called the Flying Reverse Round-House Lightning Kick.

Jin said without any anger or regret with how the situation turned out. If anything, that was the best possible outcome for a bad situation. Or more accurately said, the outcome Jin wanted. To hurt those people. But Ban looked less than happy, grabbing Jin's hand and walking downstairs.

Jin: I didn't think I needed the first aid kit in the dojo but okay.

Ban: No. Were going to pay a visit to another dojo. {They dare hurt my student with some second-rate martial arts! I'm going to give them a need for a first aid kit!}

Ban stormed out, as he now had a vendetta against the dojo that taught those kids this Hyper Karate. Yet it was the second time, Jin had seen Ban angry. The very first time he saw him angry for him.

He liked it.

Scene change

In a much nicer looking than Bans. One with light wooden floors and traditional wooden walls. Japanese-style walls and decor, a large man in a white gi. He had no hair, bald with a small yellow moustache. Wearing a black belt and six yellow tags. A sixth-degree Roku-dan black belt Karate master. Looking at his injured students as he gripped his fists. The very same students Jin badly hurt. Holding up one whose jaw was badly damaged and still dazed that he couldn't stand up on his own.

But as the doors to their dojo opened, they looked at the very same kid that hurt them, and Ban. Who had a less than happy face.

Ban: {Good, he at least defended himself. Though... he may have gone a bit too far with one.}

Ban said looking at the kid who was in a complete daze, his face damaged to a point where it would sure leave a big scar.

???: I assume you're the guardian of the brat and came so he could apologise. I'm Joshua...

Ban: Call my student a brat again, and I'll tear that mustard mark you call a moustache off your face.

Ban said as he looked at Joshua. Joshua was slightly taken aback and confused. Touching his small blond moustache and looking at Bans large thick white moustache.

Joshua: What?

Ban: You heard me. I also heard what your students did to an old man and my student. You should be ashamed of yourself as their master.

Ban said practically holding back the urge to punch the man. Ban had very strong ethics when it came to martial arts. Especially what a master student relationship should be. And a master with such blatantly bad students, who sided with those bad students and tired to claim the high ground, such a master didn't deserve any respect from Ban.

But Ban did everything he could be set an example for Jin. To hold back. Even if he did want to defend his student punish the teacher of such horrible students.

Joshua: You... you're quite cocky for an old man.

Joshua laughed as he subtly moved forward towards Ban. But Ban knew what the man was trying to do. It didn't take a genius to figure that out. Even could. Jin slightly pulled Ban back knowing what the man was trying to do.

Ban: Well, I would be when a newbie of a master thinks himself so big. Sixth degree. You're still so young to grade yourself with stickers on a mere piece of fabric wrapped around your waist.

Jin looked at Ban with the same eyes of awe he had so long ago. Doing so only because he was behind Ban and he wouldn't see. But right now, Jin thought Ban was really cool.

Joshua: Ah, it makes sense now. Your student managed to copy our style, so you think your tough shit. SO COPY THIS!

Joshua jumped far. Longer than a world record long-jumper. Spinning many times as he delivered a solid kick to Ban that made a boom. A Lightning Kick. But Ban simply blocked the kick with his arm that aimed for his head.

Ban: {He used magic to strengthen his body? I wonder where such a greenhorn learned that.}

Joshua bounced back and jumped forward, spinning fast as he delivered a double axe kick down. But Ban too blocked it with his arm in a boom. Blocking a move called the Giant Wheel Double Heel Drop. But Ban was disappointed. It was nothing more than regular Karate with significantly more spins, an improved method of utilising momentum and potential energy compared to regular Karate. Looking at Joshua who jumped back surprised Ban wasn't affected by his attacks at all.

Ban: Let's get this over with. Ingrain it into your brain. All of you. Don't ever touch my student.

Jin watched Ban's fist slowly move. Moving like a winding river. He could have sworn he saw a blue glow on Ban's slow-moving fist as it hit Joshua in a sound comparable to a gun firing a bullet. Sending Joshua flying back into a wall and the wall cracking on Joshua's back. Winded and choking on his own breath as his solar plexus were hit with a force he couldn't comprehend. Sliding down the wall as he slumped over unconscious from one hit.

It wasn't a normal force a human could make. Especially not with how slow the punch was. Yet it took him out with one strike. Compared to Joshua, Ban was a completely different breed of marital artist. Comparing Hyper Karate and Fist of Flowing Water, Crushed Rock was the equivalent of comparing the Mona Lisa to a child's scribbling on a piece of paper. The only useful thing of the Hyper Karate was the technique to utilise momentum more efficiently, the paper. The karate the man used on top of it, were the scribbles that ruined it.

With that Ban walked away with Jin. Who looked in awe for the first time in a while. Maybe not setting the best of examples as he looked at Jin and realised the impression he made. Sighing.

The students, in their late teens with only a few of them being younger, all looked in awe and fear. They were definitely going to avoid Jin from now on. Though, that lesson was already ingrained in the students Jin already beat up, and the two he beat up long ago saving Aika.
