Surprisingly, the magicians performing shows and small tricks were willing to give up their knowledge with a little bit of persuasion. They could do some impressive stuff. Some spells were of something called elemental magic. Creating fireballs, shards of ice, bursts of wind. Others magic of Hypnosis or illusion. Even transformation magic which Jin could envisage Aika having fun with or even him potentially using. The magicians who didn't put up any resistance were the easiest to get magic from.
The hardest, however, were the martial artists. High on their own strength compared to other humans. Beliving that the little magic they knew gave them a strength far beyond any other. But that was only because they didn't know about the supernatural. So Jin had to take a little more, brute force approach with these martial artists. Walking into a dojo where multiple people had wooden staffs and were swinging them around in fast and twirling motion.
???: YOU!
The older man shouted as he looked at Jin. The man was in his 40s with black hair thinning on his head. A skinny build and a wart on his nose.
Jin: You decided not to give it to me when I came to your house, Bill. So I'm going to take it from you, here. Because I know for a fact, without it you wouldn't be as far in martial arts as you are now.
Jin said with a grin as he looked at Bill sieve in rage. Jin came to his house. Knowing something he shouldn't. Threatening him thinking it would work like it did the magicians. But now it didn't, he came to his dojo to embarrass him. That was Jins heavy handed approach and one Bill didn't like too much.
Bill: You have no right to come in here and fight me!
Jin: Really? Hmm. Then let's make this easier. I challenge your dojo. All of them including you. You'll give me what I want when I beat everyone.
Bill looked at Jin as he was serious. Causing a loud laugh out of him as he wiped his eyes nearly crying with laughter.
Bill: Jake, quickly end the fight. Make sure you don't kill him, but hurt him as much as you want. You, I won't bother remembering your name. Just grab a poll and lose quickly.
Jin nodded as he walked over to the wall. Grabbing a long wooden pole as he looked at a laminated paper on the floor. All of them had one in front of them. A list of names of techniques. Walking up to the empty centre of the room, everyone stood back except one. Someone the same height as Jin with long black hair. The older boy held the pole as he span it and went into a wide stance. Holding the pole with two hands ready to attack. With Jin just standing there.
Bill: BEGIN!
Jake the black-haired boy pounced in a thrust of the poll like a spear. But Jin effortlessly avoided it as he watched Jake attack him in a variety of different ways. But while Jin only avoided the fight, he was concentrating on it.
Jin: {Rising Claw, Dragons Descent...}
Jin leaned back as the poll swung over him. Avoiding a "Spinning Tails." All the moves seemed relevant to dragon body parts. But after Jake got through the whole list trying to hit Jin.
The fight did end quickly.
Jin smacked Jake with the wooden pole hard across the head, knocking him unconscious.
Jin: Next.
Jin said spinning the pole and getting into stance. While this may have not been the best idea to steal magic from people. It was a fun one. Because he not only stole their magic but also their martial arts. He said he would embarrass Bill, and he did. Defeating all his students and even him with his own martial arts. Finishing him off with an inhuman power, maybe traumatising him a bit like Ban did. Gaining magic that strengthened the durability of an object and even one that Bill didn't use that shot condensed light like lasers. Though Jin didn't only gain that and the martial arts. He took a poll back home, a trophy.
However, this was a conquest, and he had multiple dojos ahead of him. Some were of regular martial arts fighting with hands and feet. Others were of weapons, swords, pole arms, even Chinese rope darts. All which Jin took once he defeated them, with their own martial arts.
Getting their magic to teach Aika.
