Ch 97 - Therapy Fox

The date with Akeno went amazing and finished well, walking her to her house, which surprisingly was a shrine. At the end he was given another kiss as she left. Leaving Jin with a smile on his face as he walked home. But the day passed and Jin had another girl he was supposed to be spending time with. Thought this wasn't a date and something much move peaceful. The girl was much smaller. Koneko, the adorable and cute girl Jin looked at and was now walking towards in his one tailed fox form.

Leaping at her and perfectly into her lap. Nestling close as she gave a small giggle and gently stroked Jins soft fur.

Koneko: Dramatic much.

Jin wagged his tail about as Koneko smiled and gently stoked Jins fur. She had come to know Jin as a really smart fox. There were days he didn't turn up and days he did. But the days he showed up were consistent. As if he had a schedule. Koneko had a really smart fox sitting on her lap. One she could actually talk to.

Koneko: You know every time you aren't here I wander what a fox like you is doing. You can leap building heights and you're extremely fast. Intelligent too. You must have an exciting life.

Jin: {Busy. Very very busy. But I live a fun life.}

Jin thought and showed with a smile on his small fox face. Showing Koneko that he at least liked his life, though it couldn't show how busy it was.

Koneko: It's probably better than my life. I have to catch up with a large curriculum I've missed. Then I'll have to enter first year at this school. I don't necessarily need to come here now. I could have stayed in the Underworld. But I wanted to make sure I can find somewhere to relax. Under this tree.

Koneko said as Jin nodded. This tree despite being closer to the school grounds, during school most people stayed in classrooms to eat, were in clubs or ate on the greenery. If she came to school next year. This tree would be all hers. A nice place to relax away from people.

Koneko: Though... I'll miss you. Being under this tree without you won't be the same. Having no one else to hang out with will be lonely.

Jin said up, perking his head up as he turned to look at Koneko. Looking at her golden eyes confused.

Koneko: Don't get it wrong. I'm not without friends... I hope. It's just recently, they've all been busy with school and their lives I hardly ever see them any more. Right now... you're my closest friend along with two cats.

Jin looked at Koneko as he tried to claim up to her. But he was very small in his fox form. But Koneko understood, lifting Jin up so they could nestle their heads into each other.

Koneko: Can I ask you something? Is... Is it wrong to feel lonely even when I have friends? Even if I'm surrounded by so many people where I live?

Koneko looked at Jins crimson eyes as he shook his head. He knew that loneliness. He still remembered his childhood after so many years. How lonely he was surrounded by so many other children. It wasn't wrong to feel that way. Koneko looked at Jin as she nestled her head into his.

Koneko: You know, I've lost a lot, but... I'm happy I've gained you.

Koneko hugged Jin as touching his soft fur was comfort to her. She had friends, she had people surrounding her, but they didn't feel like people she could confide in. Her other familiars weren't this responsive either. To Koneko, it felt like she was talking to a real person in the form of a fox. But she felt comfortable with this fox and all the fox did was listen and try to make her feel better.

She has known the fox for a while. Not a time comparable to her other friends. But she felt closer to the fox, Jin confiding in him like she did.

But then she felt a wet feeling on her cheek as she looked at Jin. He just licked her and if he was in his human form, he would be crimson red. He wanted to make Koneko happy, and that he did as she gently kissed Jin. Looking at him with a silence and stares.

Koneko: I guess it was too hopeful to assume you would turn into a prince. Though you're not a frog, but I do wish you were an actual person. {You could hold me like I do to you then.}

Koneko looked at Jin as she saw his tail betray him. Wagging hard and fast as she gave a smile and a small giggle. Kissing Jin again and cuddling him.

Koneko: Your a good boy Jin. That's the type correct response you should give when someone says they like you. I'm glad you like me too.

Jins tails wagged as Koneko held Jin close. His tails couldn't stop wagging as he had a smile on his face.

Someone liked him like that.

But then the question came to his mind. An important question he should have thought about a long time ago.

How could he reveal himself as an actual person?
