Ch 71 - A Queezy Fox

As many knew, Jin was strong. A powerful person in more ways than one. He was a nine-tailed Kitsune, a powerful race normally. He had a Sacred Gear that was abnormal for a supernatural entity to have. He could remember martial arts and copy them near effortlessly. His martial arts proficiency was that close to Ban. Mentally he was extremely intelligent that classes were boring as had covered all the subjects they were teaching. He was much more advanced than what they were teaching.

But there was one thing he wasn't too strong at. Something he hadn't done for a while. Being around so many people in busy halls. Having lunch in busy loud rooms. There were so many people, that Jin found his weakness. He felt queezy surrounded by people who were squeezed up against him like packed sardines. Walking down halls Mittelt had to hold close because people surrounded them. Adoring the small Mittelt and girls constantly surrounding Jin. Walking down halls normally he would always find himself bumping into people.

The school was large, but there were so many people in the halls.

Mittelt went home without Jin as he wanted to stay back. He needed to stay back and catch himself. Sitting in the only quiet place in school. In his fox form inside a tree. Enjoying the shade and limiting his nine tails to only show one, so no one would suspect anything.

Jin needed a breather for the first time in a while. Yet, there was no better place than in the tree. It was cool and provided the perfect shade. After school it was quiet and everything made him feel some way. Feel tired like an animal that had finally found the perfect place to rest.

Jin: {*Yawn* I... I think... *Yawn* This is the perfect place to sleep during lunch. I'm sure Mittelt... *Yawn* would like to spend more time with Aika and Sona. It... will be good for her.}

Jin thought as his small fox eyes slowly felt heavier. Closing his eyes and going to sleep on a branch he was resting on.

But Jin wasn't used to sleeping in a tree. Balancing on a branch on his stomach wasn't what he usually did. So naturally, he fell off. Quickly widening his eyes as he fell, as a small fox the fall didn't look like just a tree height. It tricked his brain as he panicked just waking up. But no ground hit. Falling onto something much softer.

Looking up at a small girl. One wearing a blue baggy hoodie and yellow shorts. The girl petite with white hair and gold eyes. Her hair has two long bangs going past her shoulders and several loose bangs hanging over her forehead, in a short bob-cut style. Wearing a black cat-shaped hair clip on both sides of her hair.

???: A fox? Are you okay? {It has the aura of a supernatural entity. Did a magical monster escape the Familiar Forest?}

Jin looked up at the girl as he froze. Was this suspicious? Did he get caught? He looked at the girl slowly realising she too was a supernatural being. But before he could do anything, he was given a small pat on the head and a gentle rub.

???: It's okay. No need to be so worried. I won't send you back there if you don't want to be there.

Jin looked into the golden eyes of the small girl who gently patted his head. Looking confused as to what she meant to send him back. But slowly the girl held Jin close. Stroking his fur and fluffy tail.

???: {His fur is so soft. He's so soft too... cuddly. Usually, I have cats as familiars. But I wonder if I can tame him.}

The girl held out her hand as a red magic circle hovered above Jin. But broke and shattered like glass. Jin looked up endlessly confused by what was happening. But he was too tired to question his situation. Slowly sitting down in the girl's arm. Yawning as he slowly closed his eyes.

???: {So that's it. You didn't want to be tamed or stuck in a forest with other monsters. You just wanted to relax.} Well that's okay. Sleep peacefully.

The small girl said, as a gentle small smile appeared on her face. Stroking Jins fur from his ears to his tail.

Something extremely relaxing and peaceful to Jin. Going to sleep.

Time skip

Slowly Jins eyes flickered open, still in his fox form as he yawned and stretched out. Only to notice something. He was on the ground and it was getting a lot darker. With the girl no where to be seen.

Jin: {Huh. The girls gone. I guess she had somewhere to go. It was nice of her to let me continue sleeping.}

Jin said running in his fox form and out of the Kuoh gates. Running back home as he had spent too much time sleeping.

Jin: {I wonder if I'll see that cute girl again.}

Jin said jumping onto roofs and into the distance. Going back home to Mittelt who was probably wondering if Jin went out Stray Devil hunting without her.
